Robin, in her Scoops Ahoy outfit, walked to her house exhausted. Only to see a stranger knocking at the door, she cautiously approached the small figure, only to see Will, soaked from the rain, looking drained. She wordlessly pulled him into a hug, and he pulled out of it, looking better but still gloomy. "Can I stay here for a few days?" he asked, his eyes pleading for her to say yes. "Sure," she started to unlock her front door.
The next day, Mike noticed that Will wasn't at school, meaning the argument had probably gotten to him more than he expected. He just had to apologize to him after school, it was eating at him, and he could barely focus on school. When the bell finally rang, he made his way to Will's house, only to be greeted by Joyce.
"Mike, you might want to sit down for this." Mike wasn't having it though. He definitely doesn't care why hopper and Joyce are talking like this. "I can't talk right now. where is Will?" He watched as Joyce took a deep breath, almost willing herself not to cry as Jonathan walked into the kitchen, equally confused. "Will is missing," she added, wiping away a tear as she watched Mike and Jonathan freak out.
"What?"
So, ten minutes later, Dustin and Lucas were with him, searching the woods by Castle Byers. With snacks, flashlights for when it got dark, and his coat, which he didn't have when it started to rain. "Wait, why are we looking here?" everyone turned to look at Dustin, "We should just ask El to look for us." As much as mike didn't want to go back to that place. Finding Will was more important.
When they made their way to the cabin. Mike knocked on the door. Max opened it with an annoyed look. "What are you doing here? If this is about the fight, then-" He quickly interrupted her. "It's about Will." she simply stepped to the side, allowing them inside. Dustin and Lucas didn't hesitate to glance at them, though.
"A fight?"
"What fight?"
They said in unison. The two were ignored as mike stepped into the house.
"What happened?" El pointedly asked, not bothering to hide the irritation in her voice. "Will's missing." Mike plainly said, the words pricking at him as he was reminded. She slowly uncrossed her arms. "Okay," El grabbed her blindfold, sitting on the small couch while everyone watched her enter deep concentration. She was transported to the dark void, hearing small noises she had to get closer to hear. And she started walking towards Will, sitting down, staring at something intensely.
"He's staring at something."
"What is it?" mike asked.
"I don't know. I can only see him." She walked closer to him, and he was tense, kind of... scared.
"He's scared." She didn't have to remove her blindfold; she could feel Mike staring at her with deep concern as she walked closer.
"Will?" she called, but he was still. Tense and not moving, not frozen or anything, though.
She reached out to touch him when he screamed, jumping up as the noise echoed in the void, startling her and causing her to pull off her blindfold, breathing heavily.
"What happened?" Dustin quickly chimed in, "He screamed," The tension began to rise within the next few minutes.
As Will screamed, he quickly ran into the kitchen with robin. "Nope, I don't like scary movies." She laughed and turned towards the TV. Sleepaway Camp continued to play.
"Oh, come on, this one's a classic." Will turned to her, stunned. "He just- the little girl- and the water-!"
"That's what makes it a classic. Besides, you haven't even made it to the good parts yet." She sighed. Walking back into the living room, Will followed her as she sat on the couch and turned towards him, "So I have a few questions." Will nodded. "Okay, so how do you know where I live?" Will slightly smiled. "I asked Steve." "Right, okay, and why my house? And not Nancy or someone." she could see will's posture change a little. "Well, you're the only one who knows about me besides mike." his smile began to fade at the mention of his name.
