robin buckley's point of view 11 years later...
dear diary, life's been wild lately, moving so fast it's unreal. i feel as though if i don't write down the important things in here then i won't remember them as well.
where do i start?
oh well i guess i should start with my recovery. it took time but i ended up making a full recovery. i was in the wheelchair and leg splint for a little over a year and after that i was back on my feet. i'm as good as new, well, i still have to go to doctors sooo just to check and i have physio every now and again but that's just precautionary.
nancy and i are better than ever. a little power duo facing the world together. in fact everything is just much brighter when she's around.
we moved out of the dingy apartment and moved to the quieter part of hawkins. after nancys great aunt died and left her old farmhouse to her in her will, we moved in there together. it's so picturesque! there's a little river running through the large bushy garden and a little water wheel on the side. the roof is authentically thatched and there's barns for her old animals.
we were gonna give the animals away but last minute we decided we had to keep them. we are now the proud owners of 4 pigs, 6 sheep, 5 highland cows, 3 horses and a donkey called eggs. we have some ducks and geese that wander around trying to steal lunch leftovers as well. cheeky little things.
everyone else is swell as well!
steve finally admitted he had feelings for eddie and came out too us as bisexual. they tied the knot 2 years ago after expecting their first child together. steve asked nancy and i if we wanted to donate the eggs to the surrogate and of course we said yes. they have 2 year old twins milo dustin harrington and isobel "belle" rosalie harrington. steve and nancy donated the sperm and egg for belle and eddie and i for milo. they weren't supposed to know which child was genetically theirs, but belle is the spitting image of steve in the best way.
they live not too far away from us and often visit in weekends. nancy and i would babysit the twins in preparation for parenthood when they were first born.
speaking of parenthood, nancy and i decided to expand the family and try ivf treatment for a baby. steve really wanted to donate the sperm instead of us looking for a sperm donor. how sweet!
in november 1992, nance fell pregnant with our first child. our tiny premature baby daughter seren ophelia buckley.
she is the most magical girl in the world. wispy white hair and the most angelic face with these big blue eyes. we actually didn't know until a while after she was born that she had albinism. she really rocks it.

nancy knew exactly what to do with a baby. i however, did not. i did try though, i tried super hard. i ended up dropping many bottles of formula and actually dropping seren quite a few times, although don't tell nancy! fyi seren is fine, i didn't drop her that far!
