007 > rescuing robin

previously on rescuing robin...
"nancy she has no pulse" steve murmured tearing up

"no, she has to, she must do, i'm not ready to loose her yet, she needs me, i need her" i cried, continuing compressions

steve took my hands away from robins chest and put them in his lap.

"nancy" he whispered through tears "she put up a good fight"

i broke down, steve pulling me into his chest and crying into my hair.

nancy wheeler point of view

she was gone. it had only just hit me that we couldn't make memories together or re live the old ones ever again. my heart ached for her to just move a single muscle, but she didn't.

"she was so brave" steve cried into my hair "she would always put up a good fight"

i nodded sorrowfully in agreement.

there was a noise coming from the trees. we wipped our heads back in case the demogorgon had returned but it wasn't.

it was eddie and the others scrambling as fast as they could through the slimy gate.

robins head was still resting on my knees, lifeless and cold, the colour draining from her once rosy pink face.

eddie ran over and knelt next to steve, a look of horror on his face.

"is she-" but before he could finish steve nodded silently, giving him the answer he required.

hopper and joyce ran over to help but stood still in their tracks when they saw robins lifeless body laying in my lap.

max ran over after them.

"where's robin, please i need to see her"

"max, i told you to stay with the others" eddie sniffed

"where is she?!" she pushed pash people before seeing robin laying there.

she gasped, tears filling her eyes.

"robin?" she whispered before dropping to her knees and bawling her eyes out.
joyce moved over to comfort the girl who had just lost her rock in a crisis. robin was there through maxs journey with depression the whole way and the two of them had an extremely close bond.

"nancy, we have to move her" hopper said, approaching the body.

i sat frozen, unable to look anyone i the eye without having a total breakdown.

"nancy, nancy come here" steve took me in his arms and slowly coaxed me away

"i promised she wouldn't be alone" i wimpered

hopper took robins scratched up body and lifted her off the ground, joyce supporting her head.

but then one door closes, a window opens.
and that's exactly what happened.

a sound of muffled spluttering filled the silence, deafening everyone.

hopper jolted, placing robins body back on the ground holding her head.

i looked up
robin was still limp and blue, but her mouth was moving slightly and her eyes flickering.

"robin!?" i said, crawling my way to her "baby in here" i said holding her hand.

"i can't believe it" hopper exclaimed.

robin continued to try and get water out of her mouth.

"what's happening to her?!" i asked worriedly.

"she's trying to cough up water, she can't get it all out!" joyce exclaimed, holding robins head.

she tilted robins head to the side and patted her back gently.

robin violently coughed up water, spilling it all over herself and the people around her.

her eyes began to flicker more until they began to open slightly.

she was struggling to catch her breath and i could see that she was clearly in pain.

"we have to get her to a hospital" hopper said picking her up.

we all scrambled to our feet, max still crying into steve.

hopper started at a run, carrying robin all the way to the gate.

"joyce, go through first and i'll pass her through" he said as joyce climbed through the gate.

hopper passed robins weak and beat up body through the slimy passage.

we all piled through the gate and ran through the woods where the others stood in the clearing with an ambulance crew looking worried and confused.

will, mike, dustin, lucas and el all rushed over to us when we came hurrying out of the woods and towards the ambulance.

eleven ran up to max, taking her by her shoulders.

"i told you not to run after them" she said taking a crying max in her arms
"i had to el, it's robin" she said crying as el stroked her hair.

"what the hell happened chief?" a paramedic said as hopper ran up the ambulance.

"it can wait, get her some help" he ordered, placing robin in the paramedics arms

he nodded, taking robin to the back of the ambulance and packing her away.

"PLEASE" i screamed, running up to the ambulance "please, please i need to go with her. she needs me"

"fine, grab a seat but we need to go now!" he said as i scurried in.

the ambulance drove off a top speed out of the clearing, leaving everyone stood there speechless.

steve running his hands through his hair
eddie pacing back and forth repeatedly saying "holy shit! holy shit!"
max was still crying and eleven was doing her best to comfort her
lucas, will, mike and dustin just stood there in complete horror.
joyce had her hand over her mouth in disbelief and hopper had his arm around her staring after the ambulance.

"is she going to be okay?" joyce stammered
"i honestly couldn't tell you" hopper replied, sighing heavily.
