previously on rescuing robin...
after some assessment, they paramedics decided to take robin to the hospital to warm her up and bandage her injuries.

"just be- be careful with her" i cried

"nancy..." robin whimpered as she was towed into the ambulance

i took her hand and rubbed it "it's okay sweetie we will be right behind you"

the ambulance pulled off and steve and i followed in the car behind, not saying a word between us.

nancy wheeler point of view

steve pulled up in the car park after a hurried drive from the mall to the indians state hospital.

we had no idea how long ago robin arrived or how long robin had been there.

after haphazardly prolong his car we both lept out and made a b-line for the entrance.

i ran up to the counter where a young male nurse sat.

"hi welcome to indiana state hospital, how may i help you today" he said smiling.

"hi my, erm, sister robin group was taken in by ambulance from starcourt mall in hawkins, we need to see her"

"looks as though she's gone up to theatre, can i take some details from you?"

"theatre?!" steve said as i stood pale faced and in shock

"says here she had a pretty nasty laceration to her hand and it needed deep stitching" he said

we both looked at each other

"right, erm, okay what details can i help you with" i said hurrying it along

"can i take both of your full names, addresses and relation to patient?"

"Nancy Violet Wheeler, 24 maple street hawkins, indiana and im her, erm, sister"

"sister with a different last name?" he looked confused

shit.

"she's my half sister, same mum different dad" i laughed looking at steve who started fake nervous laughing

"right okay, and you" he pointed his pen at steve

"Steven Kimberly Harrington, 69 weaver close, hawkins indiana and im her best friend and this lovley lady's boyfriend" he put his arm around my shoulders to cover the tracks and i lent into him

"right." the nurse said unbothered "go up to room 32 and she might be in there" he said as we dashed down the corridor.

when we got to an empty lift we clambered in and pushed the button to the top floor.

"ugh lifts, i do not have good previous relations with lifts" steve said hoping i'd laugh or something.

nothing.

"nance, she's going to be okay. she has meltdowns like this all the time, okay maybe not this severe and no she doesn't always accidentally cut her hand on a knife but it's okay" he said reassuringly.
