(Itachi's P.O.V)

Sapphire, I'm sorry I had to leave you so early in your journey but there were things about me you never knew. They were things I could never tell you, not even mom.

The sheer fact that I was this kind of man made me feel different, but I still lived like your older brother. I know I never acted like a father figure, I acted more like your mom. In all reality, I felt like that. With Saito around most of the time helping me take care of you when mom wasn't around, I knew instantly that I wasn't like most guys.

The pain of keeping this in me for the longest time was the single most difficult thing I've ever done. I even took it to my grave, and I know this has nothing to do with the story at all. But I need to admit it, to myself. I've denied who I am for the longest time, never accepting the fact of what I am.

I opened my eyes to a bright red glow, a red glow that made my face feel tight in the heat. So this is it? I thought to myself. Is this what I've earned, Hell over Heaven?

"Not exactly." A loud voice rang through the air, answering the questions I've been asking in my head.

I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out. Why can't I speak? The echoing voice replied,

"I took it, it allows one to listen instead of speak."

If you can read my mind, tell me who you are. I demanded the voice in my head, challenging his power.

"You would be surprised on how well you already know me."

Then show me who you are. Even though I had a pretty good guess of who it would be, I want to see what he want from me.

"Oh Itachi," Lucifer appeared in front of me. His black suit stuck out from the red. "I'm quite surprised as to who I would be meeting first; you or Sapphire."

So you're the one who killed her.

"Of course I am. I slipped a demon inside her, her arch angel must have battled it hard enough to kill her from the inside out." Lucifer grinned at me tilting his head back, but not far enough to take his eyes off me. "Though, I would have met you eventually."

Damn you. It's not your right to judge me! I screamed in my head.

"Ah, but I do. I am the highest one next to your god." Lucifer covered one of his eyes with his hand.

The eye that wasn't covered —his left— changed from its deep black, to a glowing bright red with an orange pentagon in the center.

So that's how you're controlling Sapphire.

"You never noticed before? You really are clueless." Lucifer chuckled. "I can't believe that you didn't even notice it on your precious Saito."

Saito? That's impossible!

"Denial is the first step of acceptance." Lucifer walked closer to me. "He's been killing you and Sapphire since day one."

Saito, the entire time? No, it can't be

"Ah, but it is. My original plan was to have Sapphire marry Saito in a planned marriage. But unfortunately, you got in the way. You and your damn sin." Lucifer taunted.

I opened my mouth to scream and nothing came out. Damn you! I screamed over and over in my head, mouthing the words each time I yelled it in my head.

"Damn me?" Lucifer chuckled. "I am the only one here who has the power to damn. And now, it's time for your eternal damnation."

I opened my mouth to scream again, but same as before, nothing came out. I drew my sword from its holder and charged Lucifer. I swung my sword at him, but it went right through him, life he was just a mist.

Lucifer clicked his tongue. "Now, it's my turn."

Lucifer grabbed Itachi's neck, digging his claw like nails into Itachi's skin. He grabbed Lucifer's wrists trying to lift himself up at little to reduce the pain in his neck. Lucifer brought him up off the ground and slammed Itachi head first into the ground, causing a stinging headache to spring into the back of Itachi's head.

Lucifer grabbed Itachi's sword out of his hand.

"You know, I could take you out of your misery and kill you a second time." Lucifer held the sword to Itachi's neck. "Unless, I could put your body to work."

I opened my mouth again, and managed to crack out a few words using the strength I had left,

"I would rather die a thousand deaths, than let you control my body."

Lucifer bared his teeth and growled. Lucifer pressed the sword harder against his neck making a little blood trickle down the blade.

"It wasn't a question!" Lucifer yelled slitting Itachi's throat making his face go pale a second time of lifelessness.

Itachi's body laid there, eyes wide open, mouth hanging open. A light blue sphere floated out of his mouth. Inside the sphere there looked to be Itachi's soul; his upper body completely bare, eyes closed, head slightly hanging, purple hair resting on his shoulders.

Lucifer reached for the sphere and it fell flawlessly into his palm.

"One Lord down, four more to go." Lucifer chuckled to himself. "I'm sure Saito, certainly will be easy to convince knowing his "lover" is already with me. Hell, I might even bargain with him. Or even better, bargain with Sapphire."

I'm sorry Sapphire. Sorry for the lies I told you, the secrets I kept from you. That you were the offspring of the sorcerer, that I kept the real strength of your powers a secret, and for hiding that Saito and I were lovers. And I'm sorry for future reference; that one of use will end up killing one another, or that we both die in battle. I'm sorry that I might be the reason that you will die. I'm sorry for dying. I'm sorry... for everything...
