Sapphire fell to her knees, hanging her head making the sapphire and diamond tiara fall off her head. The curls of her hair fell over her face, and one of the sapphires fell out. She panted as if she had run a marathon. Her face was pale, and her normally bright blue eyes, were a pale light blue. She was in a cold sweat unable to think straight.
"Sapphire!" Itachi yelled, kneeling down next to her. He put his arm around her back, and felt her forehead. "She's burning up."
Michael ran towards Itachi and Sapphire. He used his index and middle finger to lift her chin up towards him.
"Her eyes have lost their tint." Michael said. "She's losing her sight."
"What?!" Itachi said in shock.
"Listen, she'll be okay if we can treat it in time. This is what happens when a former demon has an encounter with a demon. And considering she's the offspring of the sorcerer, it just made it worse."
"Why would she go blind from it, wouldn't she already know the power of a demon?" Itachi asked.
"She did know, now she's used to the light powers of an arch angel, and forgot about the heavy powers of a demon." Michael said, cupping her head in her hand so he could examine her eyes.
Sapphire couldn't hear what they were saying, she heard high pitched ringing noises. She was blind, she couldn't see. The only thing she really could hear from them was the muffled sounds of their voices, but she couldn't make out what they were saying.
She's never felt more vulnerable, more weak, more terrified than this. She's never known what it felt like to be the one not in control, the one who needs help. She felt lost and confused. Visions of death flashed in her head, and not just of herself, of her comrades and the sorcerer and Lucifer being the cause of it. Of them dying because she wasn't strong enough to help them.
Her head was spinning, running in multiple different directions. The dress that she had formed around herself faded, almost like it was melting, away. Water dripped down her bare arms, her undergarments soaked in water. Goosebumps ran up and down her arms, and shivers ran up her spine.
"Sapphire, can you hear me?" Michael asked.
Sapphire didn't respond, not being sure of what he asked or even said. She widened her eyes a little, realizing it was Michael and lunged on him.
"I can't see! I can't hear!" she screamed in terror. "Do something, I can't take it!"
Michael wrapped his arms around her, as Itachi stared in dread. Itachi took off this purple cape and wrapped it around Sapphire's half-naked body. He took her in his arms. She ran her hands all over Itachi's upper chest trying to find comfort, or just to make sure she was safe.
Sapphire wrapped her arms around Itachi's neck, holding onto him.
"We need to find Kirito." Itachi said to Michael.
"No, we need to get her to the Overworld. No need to risk not being able to heal her with a minor healer. Plus the area of the Overworld will comfort her and cast out the black energy in her." Michael ran his hand over her forehead. "The Underworld will have to wait for now."
"Well then, how do we get to the Overworld?" Itachi asked. "And what are we supposed to do about Randy over there?"
"Easy, you're going to carry him." Michael smiled.
"Me?! Whoa whoa, whoa." You want me to carry him?" Itachi said.
"Exactly, trust me it'll take just a few minutes." Michael said turning around. "Hurry up, close behind me."
