It was a wet Sunday morning. Razlan decided to sleep back after Fajr, well it's Sunday, which means rest day.

As he shut his eyes to sleep, he smiled unknowingly to the thought of today marks two weeks of becoming someone's fiancé. They've been keeping it a secret at work, since they both agreed to not spread the news just yet.

Myra was great at that, she acted as if nothing ever happened between them and somehow it's hurting him inside. Even though it's a mutual decision but he just can't stop from having those feelings. It's definitely killing him when he saw Nadir or some other male workers talked to her.

Sometimes she acted cold and weird around him whenever he approached her. Maybe it's just her way to keep things down from the nosy colleagues.

With his eyes still shut; A loud noise was disturbing his peaceful sleep. With half-eye opened, he grabbed his phone on the side table. It was 10am, and the noise was definitely not from his mobile. He yawned aloud and rolled over to the other side of the bed. That's when he realised the noise was coming from down the hall. Without wasting anymore time he jumped off his bed to clean himself before heading downstairs.

After getting ready, he made his way to the hall since there were voices can be heard in that direction.

Oh. Alisha is home? He thought to himself.

"Maa, I can't believe you agreed to this. This is not right!" Alisha said in a stern voice.

He decided to hang around behind the wall for a little bit, just casually eavesdropping. But somehow he couldn't hear a word what his mother said, only Alisha's voice was really loud like she's using a microphone. Minutes have passed, he still hasn't gotten a clue of what upsets her so much. Besides, his legs grew tired for standing too long and so he just walked into the hall acting as if he didn't hear anything.

"Hey Lish. Didn't know you were coming back, I could have come to pick you up at the airport" Walking over to where she was seated and gave her a hug.

"Yeah, I didn't plan to but I immediately get a ticket back home after hearing the news that my little brother is getting married.." Alisha got up from her seat and hugged him back.

They both could see that their mother was literally smiling to the sight of them finally were able to stay in the same room together. Well maybe it's true what people said, absence makes the heart grows fonder.

"How's it going over there at The States?" He tried to change the subject.

"All is well but not after I heard the news. Lan, have you really thought about marrying this girl thoroughly? I mean come on, from what I heard you just met her." Said Alisha, trying to put some senses into her brother's mind.

"Yes, I have completely made up my mind. It doesn't matter how long I have known her as long as I know that she's the one for me and that she loves me back" he sat on the sofa next to his mother across from where Alisha was sitting.

"Well, did she tell you how she felt about you?"

"... No. But actions speak louder than words. I know she does and I don't need for her to tell me that because I haven't told her myself." He replied with his legs crossed.

Rolling her eyes, she shot him more questions, "Who is she anyway? Where does she comes from? Tell me, is her family holds any reputation title, like you know maybe from a royalty family?"

His face changed. She's really trying to spark things up. Slowly she's ruining his Sunday morning.

"Why does that even matters?" His eyebrows raised.

"Of course it does you dumbo! Clearly she is after your wealth!" She got up from her seat and started pointing her index finger towards him.

"Excuse me! You don't even know her! And as the matter of fact, she's nothing like that. She never even tried to take advantage of me whenever we're together." Razlan being defensive, denying the judgments his sister has thrown to him about his future wife.

"Oh please. She hasn't shown her true colours yet. I know how women are out there, most of them are just after money!"

"Not everyone is like that Lish." He tried to calm himself down. Clearly it's not working.

He wasn't the type of guy who has tempers but her mild words only added fuel to the fire. Trying to start an argument with him after a while of not seeing each other was totally not a clever idea.

"Well, not everyone is a saint either. So? Better be safe than sorry. Have you checked her family backgrounds? Also her medical records. Who knows she might have any genetic diseases. If you haven't, leave that to me. I don't want your future kids to suffer from diseases, Razlan"  Folding her arms across her chest.

She definitely was getting on his nerves. Roslina started to panic when she saw him clenching his fists on his sides with glaring eyes and lips narrowed to a thin line, she could tell that he was beyond outrageous to what Alisha had just said. She has to stop this argument nevertheless.

"What the hell are you talking about?! There's no need to investigate her! I forbid you to do anything that has got to do with background checking. I love her for who she is and what she will become. Don't you dare say bad things about her in front of me." He has no choice but to yell at her.

Alisha has definitely went overboard. Even though she's his sister, but that doesn't give her the rights to insult Myra. What made him angrier was that she has never even met her, how can she possibly judged someone like that without getting to know that person first? Not everyone has bad intentions.

"How dare you speak to me like that! I'm your sister, and I know how girls are out there! This isn't the year 1950s, where everyone was honest and sincere in a relationship. Wake up Razlan, we're living in the 21st century. Nobody is genuinely honest and loyal and sincere to love you for who you are because the only thing why they give a shit about you is none other than money"

"Do you think that she's some kind of a slut!? You know what? We're done."

He got up and leave.

"Look at him, Mama. He's just so stubborn! I'm trying to save him from those gold digging bitxhes and that's how he acted towards me! What is wrong with him!" Still yelling, with both of her fists clenched.

Roslina just shook her head in disbelief. This was what exactly she had expected, Alisha would do such thing and always disapproved whatever her brother did. Ever since Razlan in high school, they never got along well. There's always something he did that she'd go against. But it's different between Razlan and her little sister, Alyah.
