I finally was able to sleep but it ended in chaos as always.

I woke up in a puddle of my own tears.

I laid in my bed in shock as I breathed in slowly as if I came back to life.

I shook in my bed more as i cried clutching my hair and the teddy bear that one nurse had given me.

I wanted to punish myself for falling asleep and having nightmares.

if only I hadn't fallen asleep I wouldn't have gotten that stupid nightmare.

After a long day of therapy and treatment I was back in my bed.

staring at the ceiling for who knows how long.

i don't usually feel anything at night, but for once in a while i cried in my bed.

i just wanted to go home.

but I couldn't leave until i've shown progress of getting better.

yet that was the one thing I couldn't do.

I began writing in the journal my therapist had given me as I flinched at my door suddenly opening.

It was Beomgyu.

"beomgyu-?" I said confused.

"what are you doing here-" I said as he joined me on my bed.

"i wanted to see you again of course" he smiled so innocently.

"I'm not really feeling well.." I muttered.

"well we are in the hospital" he joked as I somehow managed to laugh.

I looked up at him as I saw him smiling, looking down at my journal.

"oh- that's my dream journal.." I said pulling it away from him, "I write what I dream in there-"

"nightmares" beomgyu said.

I looked down at the journal in my hands sort of ashamed.

"yeah, exactly" I said as he nudged at my journal.

"it'll be okay- no one can hurt you here" beomgyu said reassuring me.

"you can read upside down?" I asked.

"who doesn't" he laughed.

"sorry"

"for what?"

"for being so.."

"angsty.." i sort of laughed.

"it's okay, I like angsty" he smiled.

"thanks for visiting me" I said.

"I didn't come just to visit" he said.

"then for what?"

"for you"

[ 3 am ]

I found myself holding beomgyu's hand again as we snuck out of the hospital using the same route from last night.

we snuck out the clothes we found yesterday as well.

we finally made it to an outdoor public pool that was closed, but of course beomgyu found a way in.

"what are we doing at a pool?" I asked as he threw his clothes on the floor.

"want to go for a swim?" beomgyu asked reaching his hand out to me.

I dropped the clothes from my hand onto the floor as I took his hand.

we jumped into the pool with our hospital gowns still on.

beomgyu splashed water at me as I coughed.

"oh no are you okay-" he said just as I pushed water at him.

"I'm good now that I'm with you" I laughed as we continued splashing water at each other.

"I didn't think sneaking into a pool late at night could be so fun" I said as beomgyu laughed.

"I wouldn't say it's something people do on a daily basis" beomgyu teased.

"no I mean- I didn't think I could have so much fun with someone" I blurted out.

beomgyu looked over down at me and smiled.

"thanks" he smiled, "I like being with you too"

I smiled and felt heat rush to my ears.

"i'm glad you accidently walked into my hospital room" I said as he laughed.

"me too, what if I walked into a room with a homicidal person" he shrugged.

"hey- that's not funny" I said as he laughed.

"I'm kidding- those people are in the other building" he said as I breathed in deeply happy.

I paused as he looked over at me confused.

"I'm glad we accidently crossed paths beomgyu" I said

"you already said that silly" he said

"I know but I really mean it" I said feeling my heart race a bit.

"I feel like I've known you since forever" I said as he walked up to me slowly.

"yeah me too" he said leaning into me.

"what is it?" I asked.

"you have pretty eyes, it's a shame they have dark circles underneath them" he teased.

"thanks.." I said backing up, "yours aren't too bad either"

beomgyu laughed at my joke.

"hey.. do me a favor and try sleeping, I don't like seeing you sad in the hospital" he whispered making my heart race.

"but.. I'll get nightmares" I said anxiously.

he held my hands to stop me from fidgeting with them.

"the more you sleep, that faster you'll get out of there" he said frowning a bit.

"and I don't want to see you being said for much longer" he said.

"eunji.."

"..."

"yes beomgyu?" I asked.

"never mind.. I forgot" he laughed.

I could see the sun rise behind from beomgyu.

"ah- let's go before they notice us missing" he said grabbing my hand.

"yeah let's get back" I smiled.

what was beomgyu going to tell me ..?
