[ one last time ]

I wiped my tears away, I laughed at myself

I was dumb for thinking beomgyu would show up.

He told me he'd be leaving.. yet I thought I'd be able to see him one last time.

I'm such a fool.

I buried my face into my pillow.

A while had passed and I heard my door slide open slowly as I sighed

I guessed it was morning and I hadn't slept at all

so much for progress

I sat up expecting to see my nurse as my body froze.

standing there in the moonlight once again was beomgyu.

"beomgyu-?" I stammered as he shut the door behind him carefully.

"what are you doing here-?" I asked as he sat on my bed.

"I just.. really needed to see you again" he said looking directly at me.

"I thought you left.." I said as my eyes watered up.

"I'm sorry I accidentally fell asleep next to you yesterday and they caught me .." beomgyu slightly smiled to himself.

"so they made me stay an extra day.. but they never took their eyes off me.." beomgyu said

"it's all my fault I'm sorry.." I said as beomgyu shook his head

"It's none of our faults- we were finally exhausted for once and we fell asleep" beomgyu said

"I guess you're right.." I said looking down at my hands.

"I'm just so glad you're back" I said as he looked over at me.

we sat there staring at each other as my heart started racing.

"beomgyu?" I asked as he looked away and smiled.

"sorry, like I said, I really needed to see you" he smiled as it made my heart skip a beat.

"beomgyu-"

"I like you." he finally spoke as I paused.

"what-?" I asked feeling my heart race.

"sorry.. I don't know how it happened, it's just.." he said looking into her eyes.

"something about you?" I asked as he got closer.

"yeah.. exactly" he said as the two felt hypnotized.

"beomgyu.." I whispered as our faces were closer than ever before.

"I really like you.." he whispered looking into my eyes.

"I do too" I whispered back as he pulled back a bit nervous.

"can I?" he asked looking away as my heart was about to explode.

"yes" I whispered but he somehow managed to hear me.

beomgyu pressed his lips against mine, I felt my heart finally explode.

I leaned in more despite my body being in pain.

he did the same as he held my face gently.

we pulled away as we looked at each other.

he turned red and looked away as he realized what just happened.

"beomgyu?" I said as he looked over at me.

"yeah-?" he said covering his mouth shyly.

"I glad I got see you again one last time.." I whispered.

"hopefully this isn't the last time.." he said holding me close.

"we'll find each other again.." I said.

"I know we will" he said holding my hand.

"I promise to find you again" beomgyu said looking down at my hand.

I couldn't help but get teary eyed.

"I love you beomgyu" I said.

"I love you eunji" he smiled making my adrenaline rush.

tears slowly slid down my face as he hugged me tightly as we both sat in my room, crying.
