We followed the scent James had
left, he had found a brown bear.
A couple of minutes later we had reached James, Bree was not far behind us.
We were back in the clearing where we had found and killed the lone stag. I could still smell the blood from the stag.
The bear didn't notice for it was eating the leftovers of the stag.
"Ok.." Lucus said to get our attention."Our plan is for me, Angel and James to go one way to feed. Bree you go to the right with Phoenix, and Dray, you and Damian go down the middle. Keep away from the town." Lucus warned. "We don't want to be caught by The Guard do we?" Lucus growled at Dray and I.
"We meet back at the house no later than 10 OK."
They all left in search of food leaving us to face the bear.
"OK Damian I want to see how good you are." Dray whispered, he then crept up to the bear and kicked it before zooming up the tree next to the bear.
"All yours." He smirked and then watched as the bear approached me snarling, teeth bared.
I was too stunned to move.
The bear slashed at me. It hit across my cheek.I became furious as the pain burned. I snarled back becoming thirsty for revenge.
I grabbed on tight to its shoulders wrapping my legs around its torso and began to squeeze.
I felt its ribs crack and heard the howl of pain. It tried to shake me off but then decided to ram me into a tree. I cried out in pain and wrapped my arms around its neck. I sank my fangs into its fleash then twisted its neck to break it.
I pushed the dead bear over backwards and sank my teeth into the fleash it tasted so delicious, even better than the stag. The bear was full of muscle and meat.
Dray jumped down from the tree and laughed at me.
"What?" I snarled. I felt the scarlet blood running down my face from the corners of my mouth.I felt so powerful, so happy,so crazed.
"You remind me of myself, back when I was a newborn." Dray said there was no emotion behind it.
"Anyway let's not waste this bear, let's eat.
