the plane ride to hawkins was hell. babies crying hurt richie's ears. the only thing keeping him sane was the company of his best friend, eddie kaspbrak.
he has no idea how he did it, but sonia agreed to move to hawkins. when they landed, they were greeted by the wheelers.
"richie!" holly exclaimed, giving him a hug.
"hey rich," mike said, giving him a long hug. see, two people are allowed to touch mike. richie and will. it's always been that way.
richie was different, he loves hugs.
karen, ted, and nancy greeted the toziers and eddie, ignoring sonia.
"is this your boyfriend?" mike asked.
"no, no, i'm not gay." eddie said.
"oh, sorry, my bad." mike regretted asking. "what happened to your arm?"
"broke it," eddie stated and mike nodded his head.
richie was hurt to say the least. he's been in love with his best friend since middle school, but it's okay, he'll get over it.
"so, we're going to eddie's trailer to play d&d, he asked me to set up the game so we're going a bit early." mike explained the plans for that day.
"what about me?" eddie asked.
"oh, sorry, not you, my friend eddie. he's a senior this year but he's like 20 years old cause he failed 3 times." mike said.
"okay let's go," richie said.
