Part Four: Family Reunion

After breakfast we went back home and showered. I changed into shorts and a t-shirt  and into that room and started moving boxes into the hallway. My dad soon joined me and we moved all the boxes inti the hall way. My dad opened the attic door and We started putting boxed up there. We them started on the bathroom, which needed a deep clean. I cleaned the bathroom while my dad went out to buy a bed for Harry. He came back and started building. I was still working on the bathroom. I put an air freshener in the bathroom when I was finished and got some bedding from out closet. I put it in the washing machine and went to help my dad with the other furniture. His room was going to have the same layout as my room. So we built his desk and Wardrobe. I went downstairs to get the finished sheets and made the bed. We finished his bedroom in under 4 hours. I had some time to kill before I had to get ready, so I went outside to fix up my skateboard and change out the wheels since it's supposed to rain a lot next week. I put in my wheels with special groves in it so I can still ride in the rain.

"Damit!" I heard someone outside in the parking lot. I peered my head and saw a boy with a skateboard. It looked like he was trying to do and ollie. "Do you meed help?" I said. "Yea, I'm trying to do an ollie but I can't." "Well, try setting something up that you can try and jump over. Let me see your board." He gave me his board and I stood on it and tried to roll on the pavement with it. "Dude, you're wheels should not be this wobbly. Let me fix them." I walked into my backyard and he followed. "Woah, this is your backyard? It's so cool back here." "Thanks, me and my dad built it." I set the board on the table and unscrewed the wheels. I opened my drawer and looked up at him "Pick any pair you want." He picked black ones that had red lightening bolts on the sides. "Good choice." I screwed the wheels on the way I do with my board and handed the board to him. "Give them a try." He walked out to the lot and got on the board and rolled the way you are supposed to. "Wow, I can push a lot easier, you're amazing. What's your name anyway?" "I'm Lydia." I stuck my hand out so I could shake his. "I'm JJ, nice to meet you Lydia." His eyes, they looked strangely familiar. "JJ, were you at the football game last night, at the tennis court?" "You're very smart Lydia, and have a good memory too." "So it is you. How did you know I lived here?" "Harry told me that he was moving in with you so he sent me the address and it led me to you, sweetheart." It definitely was him.

"Try the technique I suggested earlier, lets see if you can get and ollie." I got a piece of firewood and laid it in the pavement. He moved back and pushed his foot on the ground. We went fast and lifted his front foot up while keeping is other on the back of the board. He flew over the wood and let his front foot go down to the ground. He landed and ollie on the first try of using that technique. "That was a good one. Keep practicing your ollie like that, and when you feel ready, try and do it without having to jump over anything." He jumped off his board toward me and gave me an unexpected hug. "Thank you so much! I've been trying to get that for weeks. You're amazing Lydia." He held my hands and I looked deep into his eyes. His dark, mysterious, beautiful eyes. I was lost in a trance until he blinked. I looked down at my feet to try and hide the fact that I was turning red. "Well Miss Lydia. I'm so very sorry to cut our time short, but I must go, may I please ask for your snap so we can chat more?" "Of course." I gave him my snap and he was off on his board. He loomed back and gave me a wink. I suddenly became very warm in my cheeks. Is this what it's like to have a crush on someone?

I walked back in the house and checked the time. "4:30" Crap, how come all that time went by so fast. I ran upstairs and turned on my speaker and music started playing. The song was Blow my Brains Out by Tikkle Me. I liked listening to that song. It sounded fun but had a message that I could never get out of my mouth. I started singing while I was getting ready.

"Lucky is she, who lives unaware, who doesn't get bothered by those who don't care. Lucky is she, who lives unaware, who doesn't get bothered by all, that's unfair. Unlucky me, who knows way to much, who fights to make changes and music and such. Unlucky me. aware of the pain, all 'cause I happen to have some brain." I was putting on my usual makeup while I was singing. I looked in my wardrobe and pulled out a pair of ripped jeans and a green sweatshirt. Tot op it all off, I put on a green and blue flannel over top. I curled my hair and put on my beanie. It was a cooler day but I usually never get cold. I heard the doorbell ring. I out on my Chuck Taylors and ran downstairs to open the door, my dad was downstairs in the kitchen. I opened the door to greet Harumi and Harry. Harumi had a smile on her face and so did Harry. "Hi Lydia. How are you sweetie?" "I'm good Harumi, or Mom." "Call me whatever you want me to sweetie." My dad came out of the kitchen and gave Harumi and bug hug. She hugged him back. They were so happy so see each other. I looked at Harry. "Hey Harry, whats up?" "Hi Lydia, everything's alright so far." "That's good, I can help you move into your room if you want." "Thanks, I'll go get my stuff out of the car."

They parked in the front of the house. "There's a parking lot at the back, so you can park there when you're done moving in." "Thanks sweetie, you're so helpful." "She is," my dad chimed in. "She's always nice when she can be." I went out to help Harry with his things. He had a box that had computer monitors inside. I carried that box upstairs into his room. I sat the box on his desk. He got two duffel bags and two backpacks. He put the one backpack in the bathroom and the other bags on the bed. He opened the duffel bags and started putting clothes inside the wardrobe. I unpacked his computer stuff and put them on the desk the way mine was set up. "What games do you play?" "Oh I play Valorant, Apex, Minecraft, COD, CS-GO, and on occasion, Roblox." "Nice I play those too. I'll have to friend you on them. But maybe later." "Alright." We went into the bathroom and started unpacking his bathroom stuff. I organized all of his stuff in the drawers neatly and made sure there was nothing kn the counter besides soap and a sink. "If you want I can get you some plants for your room." "Maybe, I don't do well with taking care of them." That's fine, we can get you succulents. You shouldn't have to water them but they do need a lot of sunlight, which still, shouldn't be a problem since there are a lot of windows in here." "Yea you're probably right."

Soon after, Harumi walked into the room. "Kids, we're gonna order pizza, is that okay?" We both nodded and she went to order the pizza. "I'm gonna go right down my account names so you can friend me." I waked into my room. I got a post-it note, a pen and turned on my computer. I went in every game I have and wrote down my name for each game. I walked back into his room with the list. He was already on his computer with Apex loaded up. I gave him the list. "Thanks." "No problem."

I went downstairs with dad and Harumi. They were sitting in the couch in the living room watching a movie. "Did you order the pizza Harumi?" "Yea I did. It should be here in 10 minutes." "Where did you order it from?" "Point Burger, why?" "That's were I work, the pizza is good though."  "I love Point Burger, me and Harry go there on the weekends." "I work weekdays after school from 3:30 to 7:00." "Nice, we'll have to visit while you're working sometime." "What are you guys watching?" "Transformers. I think it's the first one. Can you go see if Harry wants to watch, he loves the Transformer movies." "Alright, I'll be back." I went upstairs and walked into his room, he was on the phone with someone. "Hey, um, do you want to watch transformers with us?" "Yea, I'll head down, bye Cleo, I have to go." "Don't hang up yet dude," I heard s girl's voice on the phone. "Is that your sister?" "Yea, it's Lydia, why?" She spoke again. "Lydia i'm sorry about last night. you seen cool. Okay now you can hang up." Harry hung up and went downstairs with me. We all sat down on the couch when the doorbell rang. I went to the door, pizza was here. Harumi walked to the door with her card and payed the driver. She took the pizza and I closed the door. I went to the kitchen and got plates and water for everyone. I sat everything on the coffee table and we opened the pizza. Stream rose up from the greasy, warm pizza. Slices of pepperoni on one pizza and nothing but cheese on the other. We immediately started pulling the pizzas apart, filling out plates and mouths with pizza. We watched the movie until it was over and until the pizza was gone. We laughed and sat on the edge of out seats like a real family would. And we were a real family. This is by far the best family reunion ever.

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't posted anything but I was at the beach and there was no service, so I'm uploading chapters 3 and 4 now. I'm still working on chapter five and that should be up soon. Byeee ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
