The next day at work was absolute hell. We had two bands coming through so I ended up pulling a double shift with no break. We still had two hours before close. Our manager was in the back doing nothing to help out in the kitchen or up front. Jasmine looked about as bad as I felt.

"I can't do this. We need to get out of here. Our shift ended four hours ago and we haven't had a break." I said.

"We can't just quit though. I mean you could, your a regular employee. But I'm a crew leader. I don't want to do that to them."

"Fine. But were definitely putting in our two weeks. We'll find another job in no time."

"Agreed."

We made it to closing time. "Okay. I'm glad we got to help you guys out, but I've been here for 12 hours and have had no break and I need to leave." I said to our manager. "And so does Jazz."

He sighed. "Are you sure you can't stay?"

"Yes I'm sure."

"Okay. Have the kitchen cook you up something before you leave."

"Thank you."

I told Jazz and we sat and waited for our food. We both ordered wings, salad, and she got a beer and I got a soda.

Our food came out and we thanked everyone. "Wanna eat now or wait?"

"Now."

We devoured our food and drank our drinks. We finished eating before they were done closing.

We left and got in my car. I opened my phone and saw that Billie called me. I called him back.

"Hey Ash what't up?"

"You called?"

"Oh yeah. I was going to ask if you guys wanted to come over for dinner."

"Sorry. We ended up pulling a double at work and just got off. But we'd be willing to go out. We put in our two weeks and have tomorrow off."

"Sweet. See ya in a bit."

I hung up and Jazz looked at me. "Mind if we go hang out with Billie and the band? They want to go out and we don't work tomorrow cause we pulled a double."

Her face lit up. "I'd love to!"

I drove there and we knocked on his door. Mike answered and let us in.

Jazz almost immediately abandoned me to talk to mike.

"Hey Billie."

"Hey Ash. Are you guys hungry?"

I chuckled. "I mean. I ate already, but I'm still starving."

"We could go out. There is this restaurant with a bar thats open all night. They stop selling alcohol after two am but the restaurant stays open."

"I'm down."

We all agreed and went out. We got our table and all ordered. I ordered a side of buffalo wings and bacon cheese burger.

"So. What are you planning on doing after your two weeks are done?" Billie asked.

I shrugged. "I don't know. Probably just work another retail job. Maybe get into music."

"Well. Were about to release a new album and go on tour. You two could come with."

I scoffed. "We wouldn't be any help though."

"You would. You could keep us on track for the schedule. Maybe make some itineraries for the tour."

I looked at Jazz. "That would be fun."

I was feeling impulsive so I smiled. "I'm down."

"Alright. We could teach you guys how to play some instruments too while were on the bus."

"Okay. When do we leave and wheres our first stop?" Jazz asked.

"First stop is San francisco which is like a 30 minute drive from here. concerts at 7:30pm."

"Alrighty."

The rest of the night went really good. We had drinks and just talked. We eventually went back to his house and he taught me some guitar.

-Two Weeks Later-

It was Jazz's and I's last day of work at the concert hall. We were ecstatic. And the next day we would be driving to San Francisco. We had the choice of being backstage or in the pit for the concert. We decided since it was a smaller venue we would sit backstage.

The next day we drove my car to Billies. We had decided to leave our apartment so we wouldn't have to worry about rent while we were traveling.

Our bus driver, Jeff, arrived at billie's at noon. That would give us enough time to get there and get ready for the concert.

"Are you ready for your first music tour?" Billie asked me.

"Beyond excited to be touring with my favorite band." I said with a huge grin on my face.

"Good. Lets show you two the bus."

We walked on and it looked pretty big.

"So this is the living space. We have a couch, recliner and a tv. The bathroom and shower are in the back of the bus along with the bunks."

We followed him to the back of the bus.

"There are five bunks back here."

There were three bunks on one wall and two on the other. Me and Jazz took the two and the boys took the other three. There was a mini kitchen area right outside of the bunks too.

"This is going to be the best road trip ever." I said.
