Mayra
Actually from last many days, I am not feeling 100 percent of myself. So I needed a full body check up.
That day I thought he is saying this because he is holding grudges against me and to piss me off, to make my day more difficult but no. I was wrong. He actually wanted have check up.
"Mr. Rathore do you smoke?" I ask still looking at his medical reports. "Doctor, you know this is highly unprofessional of you. Asking for cigarette from patient and boss." I heard saying which made me snap my head up to look at him.
What did he just said? Me? Asking for cigarette from him?
"I... I am not asking for cigarette from you." I stuttered before blinking my eyes in disbelief at his interpretation about me. "I am just trying to find the main cause for your such high blood pressure and lung disease, Mr. Rathore." I added.
"Are you sure, Doctor?" He ask with one raise eyebrow and amusement lingering on his lips. Is he for serious? Here I am discussing about his health issues and he is busy in cracking silly jokes!!! I think my blood pressure shoot this time.
Mayra it's fine calm down. Take deep breaths.
Breath in
Breath out
In
Out
In

Feeling better now.
"Mr. Rathore instead of cracking jokes about me. You should worry about your health and quit smoking. It's not good for health. It's affecting your lungs." I said sternly for the first time not caring about his power. Right now for me he is just a patient who needed my advice.
"Not possible." He reply.
"Why?"
"I'm addicted to it now. Whenever I have a stress, I find myself lighting a cigarette. Without that, my brain doesn't work." He said, this time he seems serious and genuine too.
"Did you tried on quitting smoking?" I ask again. "I even forgot the count now." He said while not breaking the eye contact with me. I nodded. "How many cigarettes do you-"
"Seven to eight." He replied before I could even complete my question. Although I am very shocked but I tried to look normal in front of him and out of curiosity I asked him.
"Per day?" He nodded while confirming my doubts. "Why don't you try twenty one days rule?" I suggested and I realize how we are talking. Like I am talking to my any other patient but it's different.
"Ahh. That's bullshit. Forget about the twenty one days, I can't stay away from cigarette for even single day." He replied.
"You can't climb a Mount Everest in a single day." I argued. "Look I know it's difficult for you to give up on smoking completely in a day. So let's take it slow. Give up on one cigarette per week." I added, when he didn't said anything so I took it as a sign of go on.
