Mateo & Anthony (Part 2)

"Potatoes?" Mateo asks Anthony about what food that he serve today.

These past months, after the beginning of spring when Mortals found vampires who kidnapped the youngsters and killed them, Mateo got back to the village and often visiting Anthony's house to eat, talk, and play with Jacob which only 9 years old. Play hide and seek or just running around catching each other until one of them getting hurt or too tired to carry on, then they're stop running and eat what Anthony cooked.

"Of course i baked potatoes, that's your favorites." Anthony who knew better about Mateo is always know that his new bestfriend is crazy over potatoes.

"You both look like married couple." Jacob said. Mateo and Anthony stunned and look at each other while forced a smile and little awkard giggle.

"They can't be, they both are men. They can't be married." Luke's voice echoing from somewhere.

"They're bestfriend. That's how i told people who asking about you both." Luke continue his words after showed up from the back door.

"Who's asking what?" Anthony tried to demand explanation from what Luke just said.

"People. My friends. Even my friend's parents are asking me about you both. They thought you guys are having something or maybe had sex. So they asked me if i ever heard something unusual when Mateo's here in our house." hearing Luke story, Anthony felt shocked and sit down right away.

And Mateo who's furious by the story, decided to bring that further.

"Who's the name of your friend?"

Mateo got the name and left Anthony's house to confront Mr. George who he believed is the parents who asked about him from Luke.

The sun sets, and there's someone knocking on Anthony's back door.

"Why are you here? I don't want people misunderstood the situation again." Anthony try to close the door in front Anthony but he forced the door open and enter the house, sit on the chair like he always do.

"I talked to that person. And he admitted that he was the one who ask Luke about us. And i also explain why i came here a lot." Mateo said.

"Why? Why are you coming here.. a lot..?" Anthony's question is somehow leading to another topic.

"I told him that i have to check up on you guys... Four of you... Hmm, i also told him that Mr. McGillian told me so. To be nice to you guys since your father is a hero." Mateo stuttering.

"That's what you told him. But what the real reason, though?" Anthony leaing to the table and crossed his arm in front of his chest.

"What i told is what the real reason. What are you talking about?" Anthony drinks the water in the cup who's on the table since he walked in.

"Yes. I think about that, too. There's no way what happening right here, is the same with what i thought the whole time." Anthony walks towards the back door and open the old squeaky door, give the sign for Mateo to leave.

"What? What's on your thought this whole time, Anthony?"

"Keep your voice down, i don't want to bother my brothers just because i'm talking to you. Get out!" Anthony keeps casting Mateo away.

"Let's talk!" Mateo grabbed the oil lamp on the table and walks out the back door but pulling Anthony with him.

"What the hell, Mateo!?" Anthony tried to shoving his hand away, but useless, Mateo is much stronger than him.
