Over the past few months, I have grown more and more accustomed to Abed's quirks. Or as he says, gimmicks. For example, his whole 'talking about people like they're characters on television' thing. The first time I met him he told me that at the end of 'our show' we would end up together. Like we were some kind of Ross and Rachel. Though, he has dropped the whole 'Ross and Rachel' thing, which I'm glad about because I didn't like them too much as a couple anyway. I always felt like Ross was too controlling.

"I mean, I would say that we're a bit more like Bianca and Cameron from 10 Things I Hate About You. Did you ever see that movie?" I say to Jeff as we walk to the library together.

Jeff laughed, "Have you ever told this to Britta?"

I scoffed, "No, you're the only person I talk to about this kind of shit."

"The only one? Aren't you and Troy, like childhood best friends or something?"

"Yeah, we are, but you know Troy and Abed, they're basically attached at the hip. He'll tell Abed anything I say."

"Honestly, I don't get what the problem is. You like a guy who has been implying he wants to date you for months. You should just tell him."

Is he not getting a word I'm saying? "I can't tell Abed, Jeffrey. What if he doesn't actually feel that way about me and it's just some joke? What if I don't actually like him as much as I think? What if he's like some asshole hidden in a nice guy's body?"

"I think you're spending a little too much time on 'what ifs'."

"They're necessary 'what ifs', Jeff."

"I disagree. When does Abed ever say anything he doesn't mean? That guy has no filter."

I snorted, "I know, isn't it great?"

"Though, now that we're alone, I've been wondering something."

If he tries hitting on me, I swear to God.

"What is it?"

"What's the deal with you and Troy?"

I was taken aback. I knew that Jeff knew that me and Troy have been inseparable since grade school. So what the hell?

"What deal?"

"I don't understand why you didn't just date Troy?"

"What, like, in high school?"

"Yeah, sure."

"Well, when you know someone as well as I know Troy you don't want to sleep with them."

"But you want to sleep with Abed?" he said with a smirk.

I groaned, "This is why we need to stop hanging out."
