Ikatlong Persona

"The myths and legends warned you about me. And for a very good reason"

Rain falls from the sky, and the heavens weep as they witness him commit countless sins, distressed by his morals.

Who was he to care, though? Standing in the howling wind with emotionless dark eyes, his victim's face was shining back at him with terrified blue eyes and gorgeous pink lips quivering like a plucked orchestral thread. As she looks up at him, her shiny silver hair is moist and soaked, her garments are covered in blood, and her wide, doe eyes convey a dissonance made up of betrayal, amazement, and fear.

"W-why?" She said, stuttering. Her eyes were glistening with tears, voice breathless.

"Why?" The man cocked his head looking at the blade of the sword. His dark eyes were piercings in the middle of the serene night.

He approaches her, his wet leather dress shoes splashing in the puddles of rain, asking, "The real question is, why did you trust me? You wanted to change me? You wanted to get along with me?" She recoils and looks down with what appears to be embarrassment and guilt as he hisses.

"Did you really think I would love you?"

The woman's breath almost stops, and her cerulean blue eyes turn to face him, gazing up at a galaxy of stars and an unending chasm of chaos.

He moves in closer, his hot breath fanning across her pale, well-defined cheekbones, "They warned you didn't they? " Like a mouse dropped into a pit with a panther, she is petrified.

"But," He raised his sword and pointed it in her neck. "You didn't listen."

And those were the last word she heard when he beheaded her.

𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐍 closed the book he was reading. Bumuga ito nang malalim na hininga as he tried to calm down. He had no idea that Isla's novel was this engaging. He was able to feel different emotions in one chapter. He felt betrayed, loved and yet. He was mad and in rage.

Now he understands what betrayal truly means. He came to realize that loyalty is uncontrollable. No matter how well you treat someone, they might not return the favor. Regardless of how much they mean to you, they may not value you equally. Sometimes the ones you love the most end up being the least trustworthy.

The saddest part of betrayal is that, it never came from your enemies.

Happily Never After was a book that would really bring up your anger and trust issues. Isla's so meticulous and imaginative, her works were full of satisfying events and mind-blowing plot twists. No wonder his mother prioritizes her novels when it comes to printing above anyone else.

"Jesus Christ, Kashmir. Can you sit down?" Apila ni Dean dito nang mapansing palakad-lakad pa rin ito sa harap niya.

Saglit na tumigil sa paglalakad si Kashmir at inirapan ang binata bago padabog na umupo sa sofa. Dean had just finished one chapter and she's still pacing back and forth. Hindi naman magigising si Isla kahit anong orasyon at pag-aalay lakad na gawin niya.

"It's been three days! Why isn't she waking up yet?" Bumuntong hininga naman si Dean.

"She had a respiratory arrest due to shock, Kashmir. The doctor recently informed me the shock reached her brain causing brain damage, putting her in coma." Bumagsak kaagad ang balikat ni Kashmir. Nanlulumo itong lumapit sa nakaratay niyang kaibigan.

She held Isla's hand and caressed it gently.
