Xiomara

I look at the man in front of me who was so focused on his chess pieces. I bet he was already thinking of his moves ahead of me.

"You look so confident today, Xiomara." I smiled at him and moved my rook two tiles behind his queen.

While he was busy thinking of his next move, I asked him. "How long have you been playing, Reed?"

"Since I was a child." I remained silent and look at him again. Nahihirapan siya, alam ko 'yon. He had to choose between his queen and his king. If he chooses to block me he will need to sacrifice his knight and bishop.

"What have you learned in playing chess, Xiomara?" And just as I thought, he saved his king and blocked me with his bishop.

I immediately ate his bishop with my rook, "Chess taught me that with a bad move, you can lose your queen." I heard him smirk. He moved his pawn and let me eat his knight.

He let me ate all of his pieces while attempting his pawn to reach the end of my board. I tried to block him in every way that I can but in the end only two pawns, his queen and king was left on the board. I have a knight, a bishop, queen, and king.

He used his pawn to taunt my king and I blocked him with my knight resulting his other pawn reaching the end of my board. The pawn suddenly turned into another queen. He then lift his head and smirks at me.

"With the right move, you can have two queens." I mentally rolled my eyes when he sounded so proud of what he said.

With the right move you can have two queens? That sounded wrong if you were going to apply it in real life. But what do I expect from the domineering manipulative military tactician, the Fulgur Archon? An ambitious man like him will do everything to win.

Tinitigan ko nang maigi ang chess board. I'm the white and he's black. Judging from the situation, my knight and bishop is at risk. He got the upper hand since he got two queens

Napaayos ako ng upo. I can't let him win over me. He only became a chess master in Westeria because that's what I wrote him to be. He can't win against his creator.

After examining the board, I started to make a move. If I would move my pieces fast, he would think he's just an easy opponent for me.

I smiled and ate the other queen. "Check." Gulat itong nag-angat ng tingin sa akin.

"Don't be too greedy. You can only have one queen." I paused and leaned my right arm on the table.

He looks so focused and in deep thought.

If he make a wrong move and lose his remaining queen, he will lose the game. It would become his first loss for thousands of years.

"A king is useless without his queen." Reed lightly smirks upon my remark, telling me he disagrees.

"The king is the most important chess piece, Xiomara. You knew that." I nod my head innocently.

"And the queen is the most powerful chess piece, Reed. You knew that."
