Chapter 3

Previously on Forever and Ever...
"You have Stage Three kidney cancer."
Now back to the story...

So, I figured I'd find out as much as I can. "How dangerous is it?" I ask still trying to believe it's true.

"It can be very serious if not treated properly. The survival rate it 53%." He says to me.

"I could die?" I ask.

"47% of you says your going to die. It could be dangerous." He says.

"I think I got the memo." I say. "Am I aloud to go back to Barden?" I ask. He sighs.

"If you take this medicine, I suppose you could. But you'd have to be monitored." He says. I feel happy, and sad at the same time.

"I'll call Jesse." I say. I get out my cell and call Jess.

"Hey Beca, you ok?" He asks.

"I'll tell you about it when you pick me up in the hospital." I say.

"I'm at Wendy's with Benji. I'll send Amy." He says. I didn't wanna tell Jesse, but I can tell Amy. As long as she shuts up.

"Ok bye." I say as I hang up. I sit in the waiting room where an old lady walks up to me.

"What's your problem?" She asks as she sits down next to me.

"I found out I have Stage Three kidney cancer. And I'm only 25." I say.

"I'm so sorry. Does anyone else know?" She asks.

"One of my friends is about to know." I say. "Why are you here?" I ask.

"I lost my hand in WWII. I need it cleaned." She says as she shows me her prosthetic hand.

"Thanks for talking to me. And for your service. I appreciate it." I say. She gets up and goes with a doctor.

"FLAT BUTT! YOU'RE OK!" A voice yells. Fat Amy comes up and hugs me.

"Yeah, kinda." I say with a sigh.

"What's wrong?" She asks.

"I'll tell you in the car." I say as I walk out with her. She gets in the drivers seat and starts driving. We're only 15 minutes from Barden. "Amy, I have Stage Three kidney cancer." I say.

"WHAT!" She screams as she stops the car. "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" She yells.

"Yes. You can't tell the girls. I will." I say.

"Alright flat butt. Let's go." She says. She starts driving. I get an email. It reads:

You must take one pill at the following times each day:
10:30am
12:00am
4:30pm
7:45pm
From- Dr. Peters

Ok then. I don't even have pills. I got in my purse and see pills. "Creepy, but ok." I say.

"We're here." She says. We get out of he car and into my room.

"Besides you and Jesse, does anyone else know I'm out?" I ask.

"No." She says. "I still can't believe you have cancer. You're only 25!" She says.

"I'll probably live. Hopefully." I say with a sigh. Amy's phone goes off.

"Aubrey wants me at practice." She says.

"I'll come! It'll be a nice surprise." I say.

"Yeah, by the way, Chloe has been a nervous wreck!" She says. We walk to practice where a man stops us.

"Hey Benji!" I say.

"Hey Bec! So, what's with the hospital news?" He asks.

"Stage Three kidney cancer. Yay me." I say.

"I'm so sorry!" He says as he hugs me. "I came by to tell you,that Chloe is having a break down." He says. "Like, right now! Rehearsal room! Go!" He yells. I ran down but Amy stopped me.

"I'll set you up." She says. She walks in and I listen from behind the wall.

"Chloe, calm down." Aubrey says.

"I-I can't c-calm down!" Chloe yells. It sounds like she's crying.

"She'll be back before you know it." Amy says. Then she looks my way and winks.

"Is before you know it now?" I ask as I walk out. Chloe looks up and smiles with joy.

"Beca!" She yells as she runs to me. She hugs me tight, followed by the other Bella's.

"There's something I gotta tell you guys. It's pretty serious." I say. Chloe sits them down and listen. "I've been diagnosed with Stage Three kidney cancer." I say.

"Oh my God." Chloe says as she starts crying. The other Bella's do the same. I feel like joining too. "When did you find out?" She says between tears.

"Today." I say.

"Hey! Babe! Let's go!" A voice yells. We turn around and see Dan walk in.

"Not now Dan!" She yells. He looks taken aback.

"What. Did. You. Say." He growled.

"Not now!" She screamed. I kinda smirked. But I guess Dan saw.

"You think it's funny, huh?" He says. He walks towards me with anger in his eyes. "You wanna smirk now?" He says as he punches me in the gut.

"Daniel William Carter!" Chloe screams as she runs at him.

"Now!" He yells. A bunch of guys came out and held the Bella's back. Now it was me vs Dan.

Chloe's POV

I was only aloud to watch this happen. Beca scratched his eye. That's my girl. Then, Dan kicks Beca in the jaw. She just falls. But I couldn't do anything. "Beca!" I screamed. She opened one eye and winked. Oh my God!

"This is what happens when y-"

"Bitch!" Beca yells as she superman-punches him. Dan falls down and runs off. As do his friends. "Don't mess with me bitches!" She yells. I hug Beca and then remember she still has cancer.

"Let's make these next few months rock." I say with a smile.
