summary: Jade hadn't seen or heard from her girlfriend for days after a fight, but even when she returned she's too upset to tell her off.

I walked back over to the island in the kitchen where I set up my laptop and phone, each step I took it felt like I was falling through the floor. My drowsiness had got to my head and the falling hallucinations had gotten real. I groan taking a seat on the middle stool, refusing to let myself rest my head.

The room was pitch black with only the glare of the laptop screen, but if you stared for too long maybe you'd find a few people in the shadows, maybe a tall man, a creepy clown or the hallucinations of my girlfriend.

My eyes watered as I stared at my screen blankly, trying to remember what I was planning on doing. I heard a quiet snore from one of my roommates in the other room, I knew they were also worried, but they didn't have the time to stay up and wait, wait for Y/n to come back home. The fight we had a couple days ago was sure to make one of us leave the apartment sooner or later; right when she got all her points across she was out (with only keys, phone and headphones in hand) and hasn't returned in over two days with no texts or calls.

I've called anyone I could think of: her work, Perrie, Leigh, Dove, Maddison, her siblings. I got nothing, however the green dot that comes next to her profile every so often is the only thing that's stopped the search party from going out and me having a breakdown a hundred times worse. I stare at the bottom right of my screen, reading the time of four forty-seven in the morning, I don't even acknowledge it before I was zoning out again, but I caught my eyes dropping before I could fall asleep.

Trying not to let myself fall, I slip out of the seat again, slamming the laptop shut, not even turning it off. A notification beeps on my phone from Instagram, it reminding me to turn my phone on silent, I take it in my hand, not even reading the message and put it in my pocket to lay on the bedside table when I got to mine and Y/n's bedroom. On the way I stump my toe on the side of the door frame, yet the tiredness in my body didn't even react.

That annoying sound rang in my ears as at least three notifications came through at the same time. I open my eye to reach for my pocket, it was hard to remember if I actually turned my phone on silent. I fiddled with the side button until my eyes adjusted to the light of the screen. Almost six o'clock in the morning, but the last notification read four forty-eight in the morning.

My eyes quickly widen at the sight and I take no time to check, not letting any noise distract me. However I was disappointed to see only a picture of London. She was pretty high up, almost in line with the other apartment blocks on the street, and that's when I realised it was practically the same view I looked upon from my apartment window each day. I look to my side seeing a sleeping figure. Y/n's sleeping figure.

I blink my eyes a couple of times, just to double check I wasn't just tired. An unexpected smile spread across my face, but that didn't stop another load of tears from streaming down my face. I go to shine the light on her face, but stop myself quickly. What would I even say if she was awake..and if i did say something everything will come out wrong just like they did last time. I bite my lip and look down to my phone, clicking the side to turn it off. Y/n was turned away from me on the bed. I slip back into the covers and kiss her lightly on the cheek, sliding one arm under her and an arm over the top, pulling to her as close as I could, as tight as I could. I needed her to stay with me and never scare me like that again.
