My body froze up once the plastic cup hit the tiles, a single sound late at night in a quiet house made it seem like the biggest deal in the world. It took me a couple more seconds of stress and silence for me to realise I was the only one home, usually my carer would be shouting down the stairs at me, wondering what the noise was, which I never understood as they were now making more noise than I ever was. I pick up the cup, checking the insides for any specks of dirt from the floor before running it under the cold tap.

As the water drizzles out of the faucet I notice all the chores I had not yet to complete: the blinds were still open showing the dark abyss of the night sky, the dishwasher that I powered earlier was now finished beeping away and the packets of ramen hadn't been thrown out into the trash yet. I turn off the tap, grabbing the empty packets and disposing them in the garbage, using my other hand to roll down the vertical blinds, taking one last look at the house next door. All of their lights were off, most peoples were, it was only me on the move at two AM, finishing the jobs I had forgotten to compete during the day time.

I hardly felt tired, but I knew my body would soon give up on the chores and go to sleep if I didn't get them done now. My music played from the speaker of my phone as I tidied the place up, even though it wasn't exactly quiet music it had made me mentally drift off to sleep a couple times meaning I had to go re-check what I did multiple times to definitely get it right - which consisted of checking both the front and side door was locked, including all the large windows, every minute. On the way up stairs I pick up my phone, letting the last song play out before I chuck my phone on the bedside table in my bedroom.

Silence now played across the house, making me aware of every little thing, the air conditioning, the rustling of bushes outside and the random plane that sometimes past overhead. I quickly apply some moisturiser to my face before getting under the covers, feeling relaxed as the clean sheets hit my bare skin. I only wore a small tank top and trousers even though I knew how cold stevens point got at night. I was almost asleep in an instant, the thoughts in my heads were soon becoming unrecognisable and I stopped paying attention the the noises around me until one stuck out; a snap of a twig made me go back to stage one of trying to fall asleep.

They were plenty of small animals in the area, especially in the autumn, but my mind was still going else where. The neighbour hood was pretty safe, but you never know nowadays. I pull off the covers, cold air quickly hitting my skin, and walk over to the window; my hand pulled back the curtains slowly, but I was ready to shut it again if anything scary was behind them. The window was open - I noticed that before anything else. I leaned over to grab the handle, subtly looking down, I didn't notice it at first but my whole body froze up as soon as I saw a pale hand gripped onto the garage roof below me, I tried to think of a way to push it off, but all methods required going outside.

I was familiar with watching documentaries, they get a distraction for the woman and suddenly there's a whole gang showing up behind you and then it goes either two ways after that. The hand squirmed a little, I had nothing on me could be thrown at the thing and I won't dare to look back. I went to close the window, but at the same time the window creaked, I heard a familiar high pitched squeal coming from below. It was my instinct to look as the recognisable voice sounded exactly like my girlfriend.

Quickly I skim the area for people before leaning over my open window trying to get a good view of the concrete behind the garage. I didn't expect the blonde teen to climb up so quickly after that, once she was secure on top of the room she looked up, meeting her eyes with my own. Suddenly I felt all giddy again from just seeing her, I reach a hand out, helping her climb over the windowsill and into my bedroom. Her arms immediately went around my neck as she tried to pull me as close to her as possible. Even after acknowledging the scary open window behind me, the candy smell of her hair, and the soft touch of her white skin soothed me.

"Ugh let's never leave each other for more than two days again," Liv mumbled into my shoulder as her arms still clung around me.

Them two days she had been away with the rest of her household family for a little weekend family-vacation. I couldn't tell if she enjoyed it, all she did was complain on the facetime call last night, but her posts are always explaining the fashionable things she had bought at the mall.

"Let's never not warn each other about coming over again," I say sarcastically, both of us pulling away "especially through the window, I could've hit you with a golf club!"

She pouted and held both of my hands, linking our fingers together, "I'm sorry, I just couldn't wait for you to respond, you could've been asleep already."

I sway our hands from side to side, "If I was asleep would you still come in?"

She thought about it for a second, nodding her head quickly after. I roll my eyes playfully, pulling one of her hands up to kiss, but that wasn't enough for her; she slipped ber fingers out of mine, holding my face with her palms, connecting our lips together. I could tell she came prepared, tasting the cherry chapstick on her lips and her minty breath. As I expected she got annoyed when I broke the kiss, walking away from her, even after I tell her I was shutting the window.

"Anyone know you're here?" I ask, pecking her on the lips again.

"No, I told you before I wasn't gonna be allowed over," Liv replied, again cupping my face, kissing me again.

"Seriously? Nobody? You could have at leased payed Parker to not tell a soul."

"Ugh I know what he's like, he would tell my mom where I am and who I'm with as soon as he's bribed with more money," the blondie explains, "I just don't get why I wasn't allowed in the first place."

I look over at the calendar checking the date, "I mean it is school tomorrow, plus you got back pretty late...did you bring other clothes?"

I scan her body and so does she pointing to herself, "I figured this was enough."

She looked too cute in her sweatpants and hoodie. The pants were clearly stolen from her twin sister Maddie as the length was a bit too short for her, and the hoodie was mine that she took a couple months ago now, the white text on the front was all in caps reading 'New York', I found it tacky, so I let her have it not realising she'd wear it almost every night since she got her hands on it.

One last peck and I lead her to the bed, Liv going on her usual side and turning on her side to face me as I get back under the covers next to the wall, also facing her. Now the cold temperature had hit me the slightly warmer sheets weren't as much as a relief, so I quickly snuggled into Liv's figure. My arms wrap around her torso and my head sits below hers, resting on her chest, my body filled with goosebumps when her light fingers traced up my body and under my top drawing circles and lines.

I've got myself so madly in love I've never once felt mad about her attempt to sneak into my house and trigger all kinds of paranoia in me.
