"So then we went on a roller coaster for the first time ever, I loved it so much, I defiantly want to try that again sometime soon. Then we went out for dinner, I got chicken fingers because I have taste, then after dinner you came and picked me up."
"So are you going to go on another date?"
"Yep, he said he'd text me later." I answered, I was on FaceTime with Biana late at night, it was maybe ten or twelve, both Edaline and Grady had long since go to bed.
"I'm so happy for you right now, I totally think he likes you! My phone is about to die so we'll talk more at school." Biana said, "Bye!"
"Bye!" I replied and hung up.
I flopped down on my bed, that afternoon had been so perfect and I was excited to see him at school. I plugged in my phone so it wouldn't die again and leave me running late for school again tomorrow.
I crept out of bed quietly and went into the bathroom that was attached to my room, I stared at my face for a good long while. I plucked my eyebrows, cleansed and exfoliated my skin, did a face mask and put on one of my moisturizers.
Keefe was so effortlessly hot, would he still like me if I wasn't? I wondered.
I shook away my thoughts and got back into bed, that morning I spent time not only doing basic things to get myself ready but makeup and a whole cute outfit and all that, I was almost late getting to school because of it though.
I felt a little nervous walking in the building, I was wearing some light coloured jeans that were ripped in then knees, I was wearing a graphic t-shirt and had a little bit of makeup on. I'm personally not great at makeup, I can do basic stuff though. I had on a little bit of concealer, highlighter and eyeshadow on, I did my best to fill in and darken by brows a little bit.
It was definitely different from throwing on whatever as long as it made my look somewhat reasonable.
I walked to class early, I had Mr. Teirgan first period today, he was a good teacher but he could be a little dull sometimes. Both his hearing and eyesight were very poor so he never really noticed when anyone was on their phones.
ooo
At lunch I normally sat with either Biana or Dex, but Biana often elects to sit with her other friends. Dex was in this tech program, he's always making things and then selling them online to big companies, he's already a child millionaire. He likes to keep that private though, mainly because it can sometimes be hard to make friends with people if you don't know if they actually want to be friends or if they just want him for his money.
"Want to sit with me at lunch? Like with my other friends? Keefe is going to be there." She said with a suggestive grin.
I blushed and crossed my arms, "Could you be like any louder?"
"Just for you cuddle-pie." Biana said using one of her terribly embarrassing nicknames for me.
I swatted at her which she ducked, "Sure, who's going to be there?"
"Linh and Tam—those are the kinda emo twins, Marella, Wylie—he's Linh's boyfriend by the ways they make eyes at each other all the time. Then last but not least your secret lover Keefie."
"Oh my god, he's not my secret lover, we went on like one date."
"And have spent days texting and talking, and flirting and being star-crossed lovers."
I love her but I really want to commit homocide right now. "I'm gonna kill you, like seriously."
"But then who would give you advice about your boyfriend?" Biana pouted.
"Dex maybe? I dunno he doesn't give the best advice about non-tech stuff." I suggested.
We descended down the stairs to the cafeteria, Biana grabbed my hand and lead me to a different table than the one I normally sit at with Dex, he was already there finicking with something. His eyes were wide when he saw Biana with her hand clamped around my arm leading me to an entirely new group of people. "Sorry!" I said in passing.
We just arrived at her table, the twins Biana told me about were sitting beside one another, their jet black hair and silvery blue eyes were a interesting sharp contrast.
The female one, who I assumed was Linh was sitting with Wylie, the duo were holding hands underneath the table.
"Hey, this is Sophie," Biana said shoving me in front of her, I gave a small awkward wave. "Be nice to her or I'll have to pull out my people opener."
I whipped around to face the brunette girl,"You mean your plastic knife? Like the one for your chicken?"
"Yes, 'course, what else would I be talking about." She replied as if it was a totally normal thing to call a knife.
"Biana calm down," Linh said with a long suffering sigh, "Nice to meet you Sophie, I'm Linh."
"Nice to meet you," I replied, taking a seat at the edge of the table across from Linh.
"Hey my loyal subjects—and Foster, your King has arrived." Keefe said from behind us, smoothly sliding into the seat directly across from me.
There was a collective eye roll between Biana, Linh and Wylie. "Hi Keefe."
"Hey." I said.
BIANA'S POV
Was a ever so slightly very jealous of Keefe for stealing all the affection of my best friend in like less then a week. Yes. Very much absolutely yes.
I was very happy for Sophie, but she just seemed to be in la la land a lot, she'd never been like that—even when dating my brother, but he was also a dick.
I swept my hair over to my other shoulder, I looked at Tam and he raised his brows and smiled which I reciprocated. To anyone else sitting with us, it's a friendly gesture between to people who are very much friends. To us on the other hand, it's different.
We had been dating for a month or so, but the big issues is that Tam's parents were big on the whole 'no dating' thing and they'd make it hell on earth for him if they found out, they already use every opportunity to humiliate Linh.
Not to mention that since I'm popular with a lot of people there will absolutely be rumours that fly around and with my last relationships that was what drove us apart, not eachother but other people.
If I'm going to be honest I sort of liked it being our little secret, Sophie was my literal best friend and soulmate but even she didn't know.
I diverted my eyes from Tam as to not raise suspicion, "So, what's everyone looking foreword to this summer?"
"Summer." Linh said dryly.
I rolled my eyes, "Okay, sure smartass, anything else?"
"Sleep away camp," Linh said, "Two blissful weeks in which I'm not consistently harassed my Mother how much shame I bring on the family." All this was said in a singsong voice, "I seriously don't know what she thinks is going to happen, like I think she wanted me to like get an arranged marriage, like woman it's not the eighteen hundreds anymore."
We all laughed a bit at that, "Eh fair enough, here's to slightly less dramatic summers than normal."
