"Yep lord help her bla,bla,bla-Can we drink now?" All of them let out laughs as Gema pours everyone a glass from the first bottle and puts the 2nd back in the cubby. "To be honest you really goin easy on us." "Trina Imma need you to shut up, I'm not tryna catch a hangover, you remember the last time we got crunk, the house got messed up, and we had to rush clean everything in 3 hours before her folks got home?" "Oh yea, my bad."
"Alright Aria, your turn tell 2 truths and 1 lie." Taking a big sip and letting out a smile before taking her turn. "I'm friends with Bigfoot, I've had a crush on a teacher back in high school, and I got flirted with by a barista and her manager on top of that." Gema was just about to take a sip of her wine when she said that and stopped dead in her tracks.
"Say what now?" "Aria you didn't tell me about this manager now, I was with you for the normal barista, but not the damn manager what happened?" "Ladies, take a sip of your wine first because things got kinda close." They both take big sips of their wine and sit in closer. Going over the events in the morning, the looks on their faces were different, Gema was intrigued but the slight anger in Trina's face was hardly noticeable unless you were looking at her upclose, you didn't bother to tell her about the events that took place before you came.
*At the cafe*
"Mary, come to the break room please." Tiara and Mary sit down at the round table, both women take off their headsets and sit them on the table. "Mary, I wanted to talk to you about how you treated one of our customers today, you did excellent customer service, it was ok, but from here on out please keep your interactions short and only speak if it's about their order, I don't want any flirting or special treatment among certain guests. I also want you to stay to mop the floors, clean the coffee machine and take out the trash after we close please. Please don't think I'm singling you out, it's just that cleanliness is what's required here, that's all I have to say."
"Yes ma'am." Both women put their headsets back on and the staff start winding down to close the store in the last minutes, luckily no one except customers in the drive through had come. Mary started her duties, mopping the floors, and then getting to the coffee machine, last was the trash. "Hey you must be Mary." "Yes, who may I ask are you?" "I'm BW, full name is Brandon Williams, but everyone just calls me BW, there's 2 Brandons already, no need for another, also I just started here yesterday, but yesterday you were out on break."
Mary and BW both chat and than go out to throw away the trash. "Mary, I don't know if you heard it yet, but one of the campus security guards came in, apparently he caught 2 girls about to get it on in one of their cars." He looked at Tiara with an arched brow, and she flew to the breakroom. "Oh my god, wait, does Tiara have a girlfriend?" "Apparently she does, but that girlfriend works at the WallyWorld uptown. I wonder who the other girl was. If that security guard reports her she's gettin fired." "That is crazy, anyway I'm just trying to get home and take a hot bath." "Can I join you?" Mary looks at BW with a raised eyebrow. "I hope you caught that I was kidding, it's pretty obvious you're gay and you've probably got your eye on someone. Also, I probably have a feeling who the girl was that Tiara was with." "Are you sure?" "Yea, there was a girl from this morning, I think her name was Airi something?" "Was her name Aria?" "Yea I guess that's it, Tiara almost spilled coffee on her." "Tell me how it happened if you don't mind." "I had just finished making a coffee and when I passed it to Tiara, she was passing it to her and accidently dropped it. She rushed to clean it up, and Aria helped her, as compensation, she gave her anything she wanted in the store for free." "Did she want anything?" "Just one of the chocolate chip muffins."
Mary walks away and back into the restaurant, to get her things and leave, taking her bag and walking out to her car, she throws it in the passenger seat and thinks about her day, her mind floating to Aria, and her heart beating a little faster. Was it love???
Pulling into her parking lot, and going up the stairs to her apartment. She goes in locking the door behind her, her hat flying from a swift pull and her hair put into a bun, she starts her bath.
"I wonder what she would be thinking of me stripping out of my uniform ." Mary turns on her lamp, the dim light giving her a slight silhouette, she slowly strips off her clothes, and walks into the bathroom, turning on the water and slipping in. Letting the water relax her aching muscles, she looks at her watch, and calculates how much time she has before she'll have to attend her online night classes.
