EIGHTEEN.
❝I'D LOVE TO.❞
WE HAD MADE OUR WAY OUT of the sewers. It was a couple days after the fight and we had all met up in the barrens. Everyone was sat in a circle on some large rocks, listening to Beverly explaining what it was like when she was in the trance. "I thought I was dead. That's what it felt like."
"I saw us, all of us together. Back in the cistern, but we were older-like our parents' ages. "What-What were we all doing there?" Bill asked. My head was dug into the crook of Richie's neck while I listened intently. "I just remember how we felt. How scared we were. I don't think I could ever forget it."
The group went silent; we all stared at our feet. Bill rose to his feet in front of us all, picking up a piece of glass from the green-ish-yellow grass. "Swear it. S-Swear, if It isn't dead. If It ever comes back. We'll come back too."
Beverly was first to join Bill standing, second was me, pulling Richie up as well. The others copied and now we all were in a circle standing nervously on both feet.
Richie was the first one. He held his hand out for Bill to slit. He shook it from the pain when it had been cut. Next, it was my turn. My eyes shut tightly and I readied myself for the pain. My hand was held out for Bill. He took a long score in my skin, tearing it and releasing crimson blood.
I hissed as the pain tingled and stung. It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, but still not good. I interlaced my fingers with Richie's while Bill stepped around the ground, cutting each one of our hands.
When everyone's was done, I held Eddie's hand as well and he connected to Mike's. We all held hands, confirming the blood oath. Each one of our blood mixed in through, smearing along our palms.
We let go after a couple seconds. "I got to go," Stanley said. "I hate you." His gaze was focused on Bill for a moment before he cracked a small grin at the boy. Everyone let out a snicker and the tension in the group was gone.
"I'll see you later." We all bid him farewell. Soon enough, the others started to leave too. Mike and Eddie left, Bill and Beverly soon after as well after discussing some things among themselves.
"Let's go Rich." I tugged on the boy's arm and he followed before stopping. I felt the tall grass graze my ankles and lower legs. "Thanks for letting me borrow your shirt, you know, when we were fighting the clown; It," I smiled at him and he looked up from his feet, returning with a grin.
"You're welcome, I can give you more if you want." He winked which made me give his shoulder a gentle push. I giggled and gave him a small peck on the cheek. Red-ish pink tones clouded his face and he returned the kiss with another, this time on my lips.
Of course, I didn't expect it but I quickly kissed back, cherishing the boy's soft lips. "Y/n," he had one arm up, placed on the back of his head and he looked to the ground. "Do-Do you think," a large voice crack interrupted his sentence and caused his face to erupt in even more color, "Do you think, uhm, you would want to be my official girlfriend?"
I let out a gasp and wrapped my arms around him. He let out a nervous sigh and I let out a giggle, "Yes, of course, Richie. I'd love to."
"I don't know why you were so nervous about asking," I laughed. Our hands linked and we then continued our way out of the barrens and through the tall, thin grass. It was official. Richie and I.
