"Death & Escape"

Back in Acmendelle, Yakko was now pulling hard on his cuffed hands, ice now starting to spread across the prison cell, strengthening it's hold on the cuffs, walls, wooden ceiling and even the door over time. Not long after, the Duke and a couple soldiers appear outside the door, talking about the "dangerous monster" on the other side. They try to open up the door by the handle, but it seemed to be frozen thanks to the ice.

Only then, in a split second, the ice splits open the cuffs and causes the entire cell to crash in on itself, giving Yakko a quick escape, which he uses to his advantage. Moments later, Plotz and the soldiers burst into the cell, only to be met with a broken wall and broken cuffs.

Outside, an enormous, snowy, windy storm forms over the kingdom, spreading for miles across the now frozen sea now that Yakko was under intense pressure from being imprisoned and wanting freedom. Wanting an out from his current, trapped, fearful life.

Meanwhile, Dot, Wakko and the snowmice had just hit the edge of the frozen sea. The snowy winds crash into them harshly, causing their ride to take a hard step back. Dot, however, being persistent to get her brother help, lifts up the reigns and slams them down, her horse soon rushing into the winds as pieces of snow now slam into her face.

Wakko starts to slowly lose his grip after he and the others get a few miles in the intense storm. The boats sitting beside them then start to tip and fall over, crashing into the ice below them. Not long after, the ice underneath them starts to break and snap, causing it to split. Dot makes a quick decision and grabs Wakko, throwing him to the other side along with Pinky and Brain who were still in the saddle bag before landing beside the nearly frozen prince. The ice splits more and more quickly, causing Dot and her steed to be stuck on the other side of the three she helped cross over.

"Go! Go to the castle, now! I'll catch up!"  she yells towards them.

Wakko nods shakily and slowly, soon continuing on in the blizzard with Pinky and Brain, his hands now starting to turn to ice as his heart freezing faster in the intense snow storm.

Yakko, who was walking away from the castle not too far off, has an arm over his head and face to prevent snow from flying into his eyes. A figure then starts to appear through the fogginess and blizzard snow specks. At first, it seemed as though it was his siblings.. Wakko..? But.. it was none other than the Duke. Duke Plotz.

"Yakko! You can't run from this!" he shouts.

"Just.. take care of my brother! And.."  Yakko starts to say as he backs up and turns around before being interrupted.

"Your brother? He returned with your sister from the mountains, weak and cold! I tried to save him but.. there was nothing I could do!"

There was a moment of silence on Yakko's end, his heart sunk to the icy floor beneath him, his mouth agape as he turns back to face his current foe and tries to speak, but nothing comes out.

"Your brother is dead. Because of you."  Plotz states coldly.

"... No.."  was all that Yakko could muster and say to himself as he takes a few steps back, soon turning his back towards Plotz once more.

It didn't take long for him to fall on his knees in tears, the blizzard soon wiping itself out and clearing the snow and ice filled wonderland that was Acmendelle. Soon after the blizzard was wiped out, Wakko could visibly see his brother, soon reaching out for him before hearing Dot hundreds of feet away, turning around to face her.

"Wakko!"  she shouts, trying to get him to walk over to her so she could help him.

However, he turns back and notices Plotz has whipped out a sword. Knowing he couldn't let his brother die, he heads towards Yakko, shuffling as fast as he can, Plotz soon raising his sword up above his head.

"No..!"  Wakko shouts before jumping in front of Yakko, turning fully into ice as the sword comes down and smashes against him, breaking into hundreds of pieces and causing Plotz to be thrown a few feet away onto his side.

Having now heard his brother's voice, Yakko turns around, soon scrambling to his feet and gently touching the sides of his brother's cheeks.

"Oh, Wakko.. no.. no no no..."  is all he can whimper before hugging his brother tightly, tears soon rolling down his face and onto his ice sculpture of a sibling.

Now standing close by.. Dot, Pinky and Brain all bow their heads down in respect, tears forming in their eyes and rolling down their cheeks as the realization sets in. This couldn't be the end, it just couldn't be. There had to be something more.. something.. missing, right?
