The next day at school went by so fast. All I could think about was Niall. Just our conversation running through my mind, over and over again.

I was walking home when I heard a car behind me. I turned around, and it was Niall. I smiled at him, just thinking he was gonna drive by. He pulled over and stopped his car right next to me. "Hey Katie" There it was again. His accent. The accent I couldn't stop thinking about all day. "Hi" I said, not able to stop the mile-wide smile on my face. "Do you want a ride home?" "Really? Uhh yea. That would be great. Thanks."

I got in the car and put my seatbelt on. "So how was school?" I'm glad he said something to break the silence before it got awkward. "A lot better today than usual." Our eyes met as he smiled at me.

He pulled up to my apartment building, letting me get out. "Umm. Would you like to come in?" "It's okay. I'm really clumsy. I wouldn't want to break anything" "That's okay. There's not much to break anyways." His ocean blue eyes sparkled down at me as he smiled, "okay."

It's been hours since we came inside. We played a couple board games, talked for forever, and now we were eating popcorn and watching The Notebook, the one Niall picked out. We were half way through the movie when Niall looked over me and said "Don't you think that it's so sweet for Noah to read to Ally everyday, hoping she'll someday remember their story?" "Of course. He really cared about her and loved her. This is the sweetest movie I have ever seen."

About ten minutes later, we both reached for the popcorn at the same time. Niall looked down to see our touching hands. I quickly pulled away, but it was too late. He saw them.
