Hazel's speech

Hazel was a great friend. At least she thought she was. Now like Frazel, Jasper was a thing too.

However... Hazel observed that Will and Nico had mysteriously disappeared. So did Leo and Calypso. It did not take long enough for her to know. It took ten minutes.

Hazel was enraged when she found out about Calypso's condition. She snapped the pencil into three pieces and grabbed the forgotten mic.

"Guys!" She said loudly, her voice echoing in the chatter, "Great job Piper. And Jason. I appreciate the fact that you have understood your feelings for one another. But, have you forgotten your classmate in your romance? Yes, yes you have. You have also forgotten Calypso. You all have."

She paused to see Frank's equally livid face, encouraging her. Jason's eyebrows were knitted, his hand around Piper's shoulder slipping. Piper was in deep thought, with a guilty look on her face. There was also a fair exchange of whispers and grins at 'Calypso's' name.

"No, I mean it. WHICH DICKHEAD HAD THE AUDACITY TO CALL CALYPSO A WHORE?! THAT GIRL HAS HAD TO BEAR OH I DON'T KNOW YEARS OF SHIT AND BULLYING CAUSE OF RUMORS. Yeah, you don't know, do you? I just got to know that she has anorexia. Because of what you guys did... Because of what w-we all did. Nobody stood up for her... Everybody... Percy... Herc... Everybody ditched her. She did nothing wrong you guys! We all did wrong! We never treated her as an equal. She was traumatized. Traumatized enough to give up eating... Yeah, and gay rights and stuff is not just about equality it is about acceptance. It's about knowing that someone is different, accepting them, and then treating them like a friend. Something we never did..."

Hazel could not go on. She was shocked that she was able to say everything on her mind. She had let out her rage, and she felt much better. She sniffed, left the mic hanging, and went to the room where Will was healing Calypso. She wanted to be there for Leo and Calypso... Even when nobody else was.

Surprisingly before she got there, Frank was holding Leo's hand and talking to him seriously.

"I told him everything you did just now!" Frank beamed proudly, "I left the second you said dickhead 'cause then I knew that you'd got it!"

Hazel breathed. She had never sworn loudly. Yet, everybody deserved it.

Will was eating a granola bar and looking at Calypso intently. Her skin was wet. A towel explained that. Nico just hung around, looking outside the window.

Leo was disheveled and frantic. Piper and Jason came a second after Hazel entered. They both went to comfort Leo and ask about Calypso's well-being.

Hazel went to Nico.

Out of the window, you could see Percy slinking back into school. His attempts to get into the greenhouse or the back door were poor.

"He went to meet Annabeth I suppose. They must've reconciled their differences..." Hazel mused.

They watched for a minute, as Percy rattled the back door until it gave away. With a large toothy smile, Percy Jackson returned to school.

"You don't look too happy Nico," Hazel said nervously.

"I had a crush on Percy a long time ago." Nico's lips were pursed, "I got over him. He's not my type... Besides he likes Annabeth."

Hazel patted Nico lovingly. He was soft inside. He wasn't the scary ghostie boy Frank thought he was. He also had his insecurities... Like everybody.

"Everything's gonna be alright. We'll stick through it all." Hazel said loudly.
