SIMON
Ever since I kissed Aggie in front of him, Baz has been especially vicious. He jabs at me in class and mocks me in the corridors. He even spelled the window shut (which he has been threatening to do for years). On the plus side, Baz is no longer flirting with Agatha. He seems to have finally gotten the message that she chose me. Aggie seems slightly disappointed that she no longer has Baz's attention. Sometimes I will catch her gazing longingly over at him, and I simply have no idea what to do.
"Penny."
Penny looks up from a book she is reading on Goblin History, "yes Simon?"
I glance around to check that no one is listening, "do you think Aggie likes Baz?"
Penny sighs, "Si, she is your girlfriend, how should I know?"
I shrug and fiddle with my scones, "I know... but you're her female friend. Don't you guys tell each other y'know... stuff?"
"No. I tell her the same things I tell you."
"Oh," I frown. "Well do you think Baz likes her? He does, right?"
"Hm, I don't know Si," she says vaguely. "He might not."
"But then why would he flirt with her?"
She sighs and pushes her glasses up her nose, "I don't know Simon." And goes back to reading her book.
I take a bite out of my scone; it's cold. Penny casts some like it hot without looking up.

Aggie asks to meet me by the drawbridge that night.
I borrow a pair of jeans from Gareth and a t-shirt from Rhys, and I wet my hair a little so that it's less frizzy.
When I arrive at the drawbridge Aggie is sitting on a bench. She looks nice, her milky hair braided down her back and a blue skirt flowing around her ankles. I sit beside her and reach for her hand. She lets me take it.
I wish I knew what she was thinking. "Hi," I say.
"Hi, Simon."
"Is- uhm... are you ok?" My hands are beginning to sweat.
She turns to me, "who am I to you Simon?" She looks sad, almost resigned.
I take her other hand so that we are now properly facing each other on the bench. I think my sweaty hands gross her out because she wrinkles her nose a little.
"I- Aggie, you are my girlfriend, my future..." I can tell she wants more from me. "You are one of my best friends."
"Is that all, Simon, really?" She almost sounds bitter.
I stare at her, confused, what does she want from me? "I... Aggie, I care about you. I love you, and well I think I'm in love with you."
She smiles sadly, "Si, I don't think you are, you're not affectionate when we're in private, you never ask to meet me outside my dorm, or tell me I'm beautiful."
I pull my hand from hers and wipe them on my pants, "I can do all that, if you want me to. I will. I do think you're beautiful, you are beautiful."
"That time you kissed me, in the hall, that's the only time I felt you really wanted me." She shakes her head, "but that was because Baz was there, wasn't it?"
I'm speechless, this is not where I thought the night was going, "No! I... Aggie of course not! I wanted to kiss you." I take her hands again, "I want to kiss you."
And then I gently grasp her by her neck and pull her in, nice and slow, so that she has plenty of time to pull away. She doesn't. She lets me kiss her soft cherry-flavoured lips, and she smiles against me when I do that thing with my chin. I rest my hands on her waist before pulling her onto my lap. Her skirt is tickling my ankles, and her perfume makes me want to sneeze. But this is good, this is how it should be. Her breasts are soft against my chest. I really start kissing her properly and gently slide my hand up onto her right boob.
