"We should tell them, right?" Liam asks.
"I don't know. They're so happy. Falling so fast for each other." Zayn says.
"They already love each other. No wonder." Niall snorts.
"They don't know that!" Zayn argues.
"Even if their brains don't remember their hearts sure do." Niall replies.
"It's just an organ." Zayn snorts.
"Metaphorically!" Niall huffs.
They're out clubbing. Harry and Louis are dancing while they sit and discuss the weird situation they're put in.
"What if they break up again? I mean, they had issues." Liam says."I've thought about that. The reason they broke up in the first place was a lack of communication and Harry being overprotective. This Louis isn't Louis three years ago. It's the new reformed Louis. We all know how much Harry did to get him where he is today but they don't remember it. They're equals now. Harry doesn't have to worry about how fragile Louis is, because he doesn't remember that Louis. We do. It was heartbreaking. He was so lonely and scared and quiet. I get why Harry felt like he had to shelter him. We all felt it." Niall says.
"True, but we still have to tell them, right? Liam sighs.
"Yeah, we have to tell them." Zayn agrees.
"Why? What's the point? They can't get those memories back." Niall whines.
"No, but you know how confused they both are about the past three years of their lives. We all have to endure those conversations with them. They fucking erased each other from their brains and still ended up together! That's crazy!" Liam says.
"What's crazy?" Louis asks.
They all jump and stare at their two friends who hopefully just approach the table.
"Your dance moves!" Zayn says.Louis rolls his eyes and takes a seat. He pulls Harry into his lap and wraps his arms around him.
Two weeks go by. Niall, Liam, and Zayn can't decide what they should do. What's the right thing to do in this absurd situation?
"What if telling them will do more harm than good? What if it destroys their relationship? I can't be the cause of that!" Niall argues upset.
"What if not telling them will do more harm than good and that destroys their relationship?" Zayn retorts.
"Aaaaaaah!" Niall yells.
He picks up his phone and calls Louis' sister Lottie and asks her. She has no idea either. They're having the same discussion home in Doncaster since Louis called a couple of weeks ago to tell them that he had met someone, Harry.
Before they can make a decision someone else tells them. The government in the form of a letter. LACUNA INC is shut down and everyone in their files receives a letter, and a USB Drive.
Louis goes home after work to pack an overnight bag. An envelope with the official Government stamp on it catches his attention as he picks up the mail.
He opens it on his way to the bedroom and glances at the letter. He stops in his tracks and sits down on the bed to read it properly.
Dear Mr. Tomlinson.
Since you are a client at LACUNA INC we want to inform you that the company no longer exists and will be prosecuted. We're sending you the information you left with the company when you used their services and erased part of your memory.
This must be a joke, right? Probably Niall. There's a USB Drive in the envelope as well and he gets curious. He grabs his laptop and plugs it in. It's a sound file.
