You took care of most of his injuries but you had a suspicion that he may have an internal bleeding. You weren't sure how serious it could be. If it was something serious, it was something you couldn't fix without proper supplies. You worked in silence and the only thing you were able to hear was his shallow breaths. He was still unconscious which you were honestly grateful for. What on earth would you do if it made eye contact with you?
You observed him for a while while you stitched up a deep cut on his right side. You wondered how April managed to get involved in something like this. It was beyond you. She better give you the best explanation you'd ever heard in your life.
By the time you were finished, your hands were covered in blood, your shirt ruined and there was a pile of bloody tissues and gazes on the table beside you. The rat man was going to be fine but you weren't sure if you were. Now that the work was done you had time to fully take in your situation.
You observed the room and you were honestly amazed. It looked more like an inside of a house than the sewers. You decided to look around the place. There were obviously multiple people living in here. The walls were covered in posters, old road signs and graffitti. The whole space seemed to be separated into a few locations. There was some kind of a lab, a corner with many high tech devices and monitors, a few bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a garage, a small gym...
God! Who could possibly be able to lift such insanely heavy weights?
The very last room was what peaked your interest the most. You saw this kind of place in those movies about ninjas that April liked to watch when you were younger. It looked like a dojo? Yes, that was the word. It had every equipment a ninja could ever need. There were all kinds of weapons hung on one of the walls. Swords, those rotating sticks, longer wooden and metal sticks, and multiple pairs of big pointy forks. You had no idea what any of those things were called. The only ones you recognized were throwing stars lined up on a table along with other ninja stuff.
You dared to touch one and the cool metal was surprisingly heavy in your hands. Pretending to throw it you watched as it shined in your hand reflecting the dim lights in the room. You put it back, careful to place it in the exact same spot it was before you picked it up. Then you slowly walked across the room taking in all the cool things it was filled with, admiring every single detail. You stopped before a big punching bag. The guys from your college used to have one of these in their apartment but never let you try it. This one was bigger than those you saw before.
What if I just...
You punched it with all your might and immidiately realised that was a dumb move. You could hear your joints crack in your knuckles and it hurt like hell. Yeah, you were pretty stupid because as you bent over in pain the bag hit you square in the face. You squealed in surprise and landed landed on your back with a heavy thud and your eyes watered. You were so shocked that the only thing you managed to do was groan, covering your nose and blinking through the tears.
"Fuck, you just had to punch the bag Y/n didn't you?" you scolded yourself and laid down on the ground waiting for the pain to go away. Taking deep breaths in and out you glared at the punching bag still swinging up and down. "I fucking hate you." you whisper shouted and turned your head to look at the weapon wall again. Focusing on the sharp blade of the sword, shivers ran down your spine. What the hell was this place?
You grabbed the punching bag for support when you were getting up and took out your phone. You switched to the front camera and observed your face. Your nose was bleeding and you were certain that this was going to leave a massive bruise. Making sure there wasn't any blood on the floor, you covered your nose with your hand and returned to the room you came from.
