Prologue

After The Shattering Of Pink Diamond, Homeworld's Society Was In Shambles And In A Mix Of Panic, Grief, Distraught, Fury, Confusion, And Overall, Emotion. A Diamond Had Never Been Shattered Before, And Gems Thought It Was Impossible, But The Traitorous Leader Of The Crystal Gems, Rose Quartz, Had Seemingly Proven Them Wrong, And The Effects Were Clear.

The Pink Court Was The Most Affected. They never understood the quartz's claims. Although small, all of her subjects adored her. She was merciful, understanding, calm, friendly, and felt more like an old companion than a diamond, some even called her "Nick-Names". The Good Type Of Nick-Names Though. She always took her gems's best interests and well-being in mind with every action and move she made, unlike the other diamonds who saw their court members as numbers, So The Quartz's Supposed Story Of What Lead Her To Betray Her Diamond Was Nothing But Propaganda To Them, But thought of it was an inevitable issue that was soon going to be fixed, many other colonys had faced rebellions too.

However, The Crystal Gems Became The Biggest Rebellion In Gem History, Causing A War To Break Out, And Actually Posing A Threat. And Then..Pink Diamond's Shattering Happened. Homeworld Wanted To Believe It Was A Hoax, But After An Inspiring Speech About Freedom & The Rebellion, Rose Quartz Made An Entire Show Out Of Pink Diamond's Shards. Although homeworld had been thrown into the chaos, and the diamonds were in their own stage of denial, White Knew Someone Had To Bring Order & Peace To Homeworld, And Knew Someone Ought To Deal With Pink's Leftovers, They needed to show that even after such an event, the diamond authority could still stay strong.

And So, Purple Diamond Was Made, And Now, She must take on the role of pink's replacement. This is her story.

This Is My Interpretation Of Purple Diamond. I've Seen Many Of These AUs On Youtube, But They Usually Just Replaced Pink Diamond, Similiarly To Most Diamond Swap AUs. So, I Decided To Do My Own Take On It, And Here We Are. I Also Am A Small Writer, And Have Made This Story As An Attempt To Gain Traction & Followers, I Hope You Enjoy! White Sat On Her Throne, Contemplating Of Just What Went Wrong.

She knew pink was the newest and wasn't exactly mature yet, but she had shown signs of improvement, and seemed relatively more stable than previously.

So, White Gave Her Desperate Pleas For A Colony The Green Light, Believing the responsibility would help her understand her duties as a diamond, and help her mature into a proper diamond, finally completing the authority and bringing the rise of a new court, the pink court, and the diamonds could continue their conquest in space without disturbance.

But of course, she wouldn't be here having these thoughts if it had all gone right.

Instead Of White's Prediction Coming True As She Had Hoped, Pink Accidently Produced A Defective Quartz, She seemed like any other quartz, She was loyal to her diamond, obeyed and completed her duties without question, but..a mistake somehow crept in her coding. Curiosity.

It was inevitable, really. Even In Yellow's Early Days, Sometimes the kindergartens had their own tough times. And When She Heard Pink Complaining About This Quartz Spreading These Tales Of Earth's Beauty Across The Kindergarten, White dismissed her, Telling her she was a diamond, for her to not be affected in such a way. If the quartz tries anything, pink could simply shatter her. She was a diamond, after all. All gems were coded and by law forced to obey her every word. And those words were law. So to not follow them, was to break the law. and a law-breaker must be punished.
