Chapter 13: Hazel

~Hazel~

After that we all got ready. I put on a black cropped graphic t-shirt with very holey jeans with black fishnet leggings underneath. I went light on the makeup but I put enough to cover the cut on my face because when Aiden took the bandage off I never replaced it.

After I got done getting ready I went to look at myself in my body mirror and I love my outfit. Kenna is wearing a red lacy top with black leather pants and Novah is wearing a simple black skin tight dress. For shoes I just put my whit converse on and Kenna had black heels. Novah also had white converse on.

I heard a knock at the door and then Aiden's voice rang through the room, "Y'all ready Victor's here."

"Yes, Ade." I tried out the nickname because he calls me Haze.
HE opened the door and said, "Don't call me that. The only reason I can call you Haze is because it sounds good. Ade sounds like I have aids."

I laughed when he said that because I hadn't thought about it.

When I walked outside I saw Victor and he was leaning against something. WHen I got closer I noticed it was the impala we rode in earlier and I squealed in excitement. Mom and Dad stood by the door in confusion because I forgot to tell them about me going to the party.

I walked over to them and said, "Can I please go to the party? Aidens coming too."
"Of course you can just don't be late and don't do drugs."

I chuckled and then made my way back to Victor.

"You ready?"
I nodded my head and he opened the door for me signaling for me to get in the car so I did.

Gael's house wasn't too far from here and it was only a 20 minute drive. When we got there I noticed there were a lot of people. We got out of the car and went inside. It was packed full of sweaty people dancing and sitting down talking to their friends.

I followed Victor to the kitchen where we found Jay and Axel hanging out. There was a kitchen island full of liquor. It ranged from beer to vodka. There was also soda, so I went straight to the Dr. Pepper and grabbed a can.

Victor grabbed a beer and used a bottle opener to open it. After we got our drinks we went over to Axel and Jay.

"Hazel!" Axel said, giving me a hug.
"Hey there big guy." I said, patting his back awkwardly.
"Bro you're gonna squeeze her to death." Victor said glaring at Axel.

Overprotective, I thought to myself and laughed quietly.

Victor came behind me and snaked his hands around my waist and I just smiled. Jay just stood there smiling not saying a word.

"Hey Jay." I said, giving him a small smile.
"Hey."
"Where is Gael?" I asked to look around the kitchen and there was no sight of him.
"Who knows." Jay rolled his eyes.
I just laughed a little.

I heard the door open and then saw Gael and Aiden walk in.
"Hey Aid." I said smirking because I know he hates that name.
"I swear to god Haze I will spit in your food if you call me that one more time."
My smirk instantly dropped and I mumbled a fine and VIctor chuckled. I forgot that he was behind me with his hands around my waist.

I just stood there quietly as they all talked.

I had to go to the bathroom so I got away from Victor telling him where I was going and he just nodded and continued talking.

As I walked around for ten minutes to find the bathroom I finally found it. I went in and did my business. I checked my phone for notifications and I had none. I washed my hands and got out of the bathroom.

I walked back in the kitchen and I noticed they weren't there anymore. I was freaking out just a little bit because I have never been to this house.I started wandering around and still couldn't find them.

I couldn't even find Kenna and Novah. My phone buzzed, it was Kenna saying that they had to go home. Great.

I started panicking. My breathing got faster and I started looking around frantically for Victor. Then I finally spotted him but my eyes started watering at the sight.

The tears started running down my face as I ran out of the house. I took my phone out scrolling through my contacts and hit Zach's contact.

I put the phone to my ear. I kept saying pick up over and over again as the phone rang.

He finally picked up.

"Yes?" He sounded confused.
"I- Can you come get me please?"
"Sure, where are you?"
"At Gael's party. Do you know where that is?"
"Yeah because I was invited but didn't go."
"O-ok thank you."
"Yeah no problem."

I just paced the grass as I waited for Zach. It didn't take too long. As soon as he pulled up I ran over to his car and got in. Zach looked at me with worry evident in his features and just started driving.

We stopped at a gas station and he turned to me and asked, "What's wrong, Tesoro?"
"N-nothing."
He looked concerned but dropped it. "Want an Icee? I'll pay."
"Okay." I said and wiped my tears with my hand and opened the door.

We went into the gas station and they had three Icee options, blue rass, cherry, and coke. I went for the obvious choice, coke. I put the lid on and filled it all the way up.

We went up and paid for it and then went back to his car.

He looked at me with concern again and asked, "Please Hazel, what's wrong?"
I teared up remembering what I saw. "I saw Athena and Victor kissing."
"I'm gonna kill him." he whispered to himself but I heard him.
"No Zach he's not worth it."

He took a deep breath and started driving away. "Wanna go home?"
"Yes please."

We were in silence for the rest of the drive. I decided to look at my phone and I had a lot of texts and calls from Aiden and Victor.

I called Aiden back and the line didn't even ring and he answered right away.
"Where are you Haze?"
"Zach is taking me home."
"Why?"
"I'll tell you at home?"
"Okay."

We made it to my house and I looked at Zach and said, "Thanks by the way."
"Yeah no problem."
"Wanna go watch a movie with me?"
"Sure why not."

We got out of the car and went inside. I went to the kitchen to find snacks for me and Zach. I found some popcorn and gave some of the snacks to hold so that I could make the popcorn.

When it was done I put it in a bowl and started going to my room but stopped when I saw My mom and dad talking at the table. I started walking toward them and noticed they had a paper in front of them.

"Mom? Dad?"
They shared a look and my heart instantly dropped.
"Hazel honey we have to tell you something..."

A/N

I start school tomorrow so this is gonna be the last chapter for a week or two. I just have to focus on school and I lowkey have writer's block but anyways have a good day.
