The Duke is sweating bullets, he essentially runs from room to room to find his wife.
"Bree!" He calls her desperately. His chest is pounding, he is stressed out.
He finally finds her sitting in the living room. Her face buried on her hands.
"What did you do?! Why did you do that?!" Bree cries when she sees him approaching.
He stops, his heart drops to the floor. "Oh Bree..." he moves closer, holding her.
Will is consumed by guilt, he doesn't want to hurt her. No, not like this.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Bree." He unknowingly cries with her, clearly he is hurting so bad.
"W-why Will?? Why did you do that?!"
He can't answer her question, mainly because he doesn't know the reason as well.
All Will can remember is yesterday Bree gave him the wine. And he seems to be blacked out. He doesn't remember anything from the day before. And suddenly, he woke up next to the other woman. He doesn't know how that happened, because he can be sure, there's no way in the world that he cheats on his wife.
Little did he knows, it was his wife plotting against him.
Maria walks into the living room. Seeing the whole drama unfolding before her eyes.
"I don't want to hear it. You are a terrible husband!" Bree pushes him away. Punching his chest while sobbing. "Go away!"
"Bree please.. " He still tries to calm her down. "Please listen to me, it is not like what it looks like." Will holds her hands, trying to make her understand his point of view, he really is the victim too.
"No I don't want to listen. Do you know what it feels like to be me?" She cries, her eyes are red, sobbing. "We have been married for 10 years, and you promised me to only love me in this lifetime. Y-you promised me Will!" Her voice shakes, sounding so painful.
He frowns, still holding her hands. "I know Bree, I still do love you. Never in this lifetime that I wanted another woman." He looks sincerely at his wife. He says nothing but the truth.
Bree pulls her hands away harshly from him. She storms off angrily, leaving the poor man broken on the floor.
His eyes looks like they are hollow, face as red as a burned brick. Looks like he is truly disappointed in himself.
A sin, but he is not the sinner.
Maria peeks from the other room, the duchess surely is a great actress.

"I want a divorce."
His silence is deafening, Will did not see this coming, ever. "....."
"I don't want to stay with you anymore." Bree declares, she has made up her mind.
"Don't. We can talk it out, you don't need to do this. We have a whole family together, we can fix this." Will explains, he wants to take full responsibility of the tragedy. "I don't ever want to be separated from you, you know that.."
"But what you did, it was terrible. You hurt me tremendously. I don't want to forgive you." She walks away, this time, out of the house.
Bree walks and walks until she arrives at the designated spot where she will meet Christ.
It is a secluded place not far from her manor. The woman is sitting under a tree, waiting for her lover to pick her up.
"Bree!"
She takes a sigh of relief, "Christ!"
"How is everything?" He wipes her face. "Did he agree to your request?"
She shakes her head, "no.."
"Well, I will just take you away from him then." Christ holds her hands, sure.
She nods full of hope, "yes.. but I have 5 children with him, Christ. I can't just go." She answers sadly.
He pulls her into a hug, burying her face on his chest. "I will take care of it, don't worry."
They are watching the sun sets in each others embrace. Bree doesn't want to think about anything. Not her husband, not her kids. She wants to be selfish, to be with Christ.
The beautiful rays of orange, pink and purple decorated the sky. He places her head on his shoulder, holding her waist.
"What are you doing with my wife?!"
The adulterers look back, and they are faced with angry-faced William.
