Chapter 27 Entangled With The Thieves

“Stop!" One of the demon knights shouted as they continued chasing the thieves. The thieves were running towards Zerha, who suddenly panicked and did not know what to do.

Why are they running over here?

“Hey! Catch!" 

“Huh?" Unconsciously, Zerha caught the bag that the demon thief threw at her. What's this? As Zerha opened the pouch bag, her eyes suddenly widened when she saw what was inside. “Gold and diamonds? There is jewelry as well..."

“They have another member! Catch that demon first!" One of the demon knights ordered his associates to capture Zerha first when they saw Zerha holding the bag from the thieves. Zerha was shocked when some of the demon knights started to run in her direction.

“Hey! What are you still doing? Run!" The thief that threw her the bag shouted while running.

Huh? Huh?! S-should I run?

I'm not one of them!

But they're planning to capture me since they think that I'm one of them! Hold on, I can just turn invisible! Zerha was about to turn herself invisible, though it was already too late. One of the demon knights grabbed her arm. 

“Y-you got it all wrong! I'm not one of them!!" 

“Don't try to fool me. It's obvious. That's the stolen bag!"

Meanwhile, the thief who threw her the bag shouted at his other accomplice. “Hey, I need to get back! Yulo got captured!"

The other demon stopped from running. “What? Are you serious? You'll get captured as well if you go back there!"

“The jewelry is with him. I threw it at him. I thought that he would run after catching it!" 

“What? Stupid as ever. Then let's go. I almost forgot our tagline, No Demons Left Behind!" The two of them shouted at the same time and goes back where Zerha is.

“Hey! Let go of him!" 

Huh? They're the thieves, why did they come back?

“Capture them!”

Three demon knights were fighting with the two thieves. While one was still holding Zerha to prevent her from escaping.

“You are taking too long to defeat them, guess it's time to use this!" One of the demon knights drew his sword. His sword shone a bit, it was imbued with magic.

He pointed it at the thieves, who suddenly lost their ability to move. He pointed his sword at Zerha as well, even though she didn't resist when the demon knight captured her.

Huh? I can't move. Just like earlier when the robber pointed his item that can't make you move, It's the same magic...maybe Alice can lift it. 

Zerha called Alice, though she didn't answer. She frowned and called her again, though there was still no response. 

Where did Alice go? Wait, come to think of it, Alice kept yawning earlier... Don't tell me she's sleeping right now...? Zerha thought nervously.

She was planning to fight them, though was afraid. What if she accidentally killed them since her abilities could make a person die in an instant? She didn’t want to kill them since they were merely doing their jobs.

 Anyways, I still can’t fight them since I just lost my ability to move. Zerha laughed to herself pathetically.

Looks like I can't get away this time. I will just escape later using my invisibility.
