「 Confessions and Rivalry 」

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ♡︎♡︎♡︎ DESPITE PEOPLE FINDING [M.Name] creepy due to his lack of showing actual human emotions besides looking and sounding polite, no one could deny that he was on the attractive side. Gender didn't matter when it comes to having a crush on him, girls would gossip at times at how much of a pretty boy he'd look all just by sitting there inside his classroom writing down whatever was on the chalkboard, boys would often times stumble over themselves to get a good luck at him whenever they were in the locker rooms for physical educations class.
And Midorima didn't like all of this one bit. Not only did he have to fend off Takao and Kise from getting too close to [M.Name], now he has to keep off all the others who dare to confess to him every now and then. And by every now and then, it meant during lunch time where most of the students are busy eating lunch, giving others a chance to confess to him without much embarrassment if he ever rejects them.
Much like right now, another buffoon had tried to sway the feelings of his dearest [M.Name] with a box of expensive chocolates and a. . . a bunch of batteries. This was one of those very rare moments where Midorima wasn't so sure if he should laugh at someone's stupidity, pity them for their actions, or be irritated to some degree. He was feeling all of them at once to be very honest.
"Will you be my boyfriend?" The unnamed first year boldly asked the reserved student, his outstretched arms holding the box of chocolates and batteries as he bowed low at him. Midorima watched as [M.Name] pursed his lips and gingerly pushed back the gifts towards the student, bowing to him slightly, "I apologize, Mayu-san, but I can't return your feelings." The student had a heartbroken expression as he straightened up, forcing himself to chuckle lightly and try to be understanding, but his little cover was immediately thrown out the window once he exited the classroom, Midorima could still hear him crying in the hallway.
