Thirteen

Waking up to breakfast had Aaliyah smiling. She grabbed Ezra's shirt and walked in smiling. "Explain to me how did I get so lucky to have a guy like you." She says.

"I think it started the day we met and had sex that day." Aaliyah laughed. "I'm so glad to have met you that day because our lives changed for the better. You don't have nothing to stress about and we are having our own family."

"I love our family." She says. "Good news."

"What's that?"

"Mom and dad may be getting back together." She tells him. "That's if no one doesn't ruin it. Knowing how my sister has been acting lately, she may be the cause and it won't end well."

"Don't worry about them." He says. "You sit down and eat. We are going to work and go pick out two cribs for the babies."

"I love you."

Aaliyah saw Spencer and stopped her. "Spencer?" She looked at her. "Do you want to talk?"

"Do you think I did it?"

"Let's talk in here." She said causing Spencer to walk in. "Spencer, I know all about the crap that goes on between you girls and Ali. She was a bully and you were never afraid to stand up to her. I don't think you killed her. They have no proof for one and two, they don't know you girls like I do."

"Thank you, Aaliyah. How's the twins?"

"Great. Ezra is taking me out to get started on the twins room."

"Really?"

"Yep. We're also talking about buying a house soon. When, I don't know. Now, go to lunch and tell Aria that I'm going to kill her the next time Jack interrupts our morning."

"He didn't this morning?"

"Not this time, but next time, I will snap."

Spencer laughed as she walked away. Aaliyah sighed as she hated that Spencer was going through hell for something she would never do. Yes, the girl didn't get along with Alison, but killing her is something unimaginable.

Later that day, Aaliyah was putting notes on the board as her mother walked in. "Is your sister seeing someone?"

"What?" She asked as she looked at her.

"She sent me a romantic text and I know it's not to me."

"I wouldn't know." Aalyiah says. "Ezra has been doing everything he can to keep me from stressing so that means Aria hasn't told me."

"You're lying, but I know you two. It's a sister code."

Aaliyah nodded as the bell rang. "I'll see you later, mom. I need to finish up here."

Ella kissed her head making her smile. "Let me know about the next appointment. I want to be there."

"It's next week mom."

Ella nodded as she left. Aaliyah looked at the closed door and sighed. "Aria, I can't keep covering for you and him. You better think fast."

Later that day, Aaliyah and Ezra went looking for cribs not seeing her parents. "I happen to like these two." She pointed out.

"I do too." They heard and turned to see her parents.

"Hi mom. Dad. What are you two doing?"

"Was enjoying a walk, but your sister is keeping secrets. What are you two doing?" Byron asked.

"Shopping for cribs." Ezra says. "You two want to help us find one for the grand babies."

"Actually, I'm helping with the house hunting." Ella says. "Aaliyah told me that the apartment was too small and the two of you have been hunting. So I thought I could pitch in to help."

"If it keeps my little girl from stressing then I'll pitch in the best I can. What about you two switch jobs since Aaliyah's diplomia came in the mail."

"It did!"

"Yep and a job offer at Hollis."

"Ezra." Aaliyah says. "I don't want to go up there without you and who knows. It might helps us decide if Rosewood is the best choice."

"We'll talk about it." He says. "Now, let's get back to doing what we have been doing. Searching."

Aaliyah kissed Ezra as this man made her feel more special. She's having a family and moving forward with their life together. First, the talk about the job offer at Hollis.
