Fourteen

Aaliyah smiled as she walked into the grill to grab her some coffee as Ezra was helping Jack with something. Aria saw her sister and smiled as she walked over to her and hugged her. "So, I'm trying to get Jack to tell mom and dad that we're together."

"How's that working out?"

"Bad. He's scared and so am I."

Aaliyah turned as her phone started ringing. "One way or another, something will get you two to confess or someone is going to rat. Someone that knows everything that you can't trust." She grabbed her phone to see Ezra has called. "Aria, I need to go. Ezra is wondering where I'm at."

Aria nodded as her sister kissed her cheek. "I love you."

"I love you."

The next day, Aaliyah yawned as she walked the halls. She stopped seeing her sister and Jack and shook her head as she felt someone kissing her head. "Hi."

"How's the twins?" Ella asked.

"They're starting to move a bit more." She says. "Mom, will you help me decide on something with Ezra."

"Sure. What is it?"

"We're thinking about taking a job at Hollis." She says. "We've been talking about it and we haven't really came to a conclusion."

Ella linked her arm with her oldest. "Let's go have our usual mother daughter talks because one day, you will be doing the same with your two."

"Thanks, mom."

Aaliyah was cooking when Aria walked in. "You should knock."

"I know, but I really need my sister."

"Why?" Aaliyah asked worried. "What happened?"

Aria inhaled and dragged her sister to the couch. Aaliyah sat down as her hand stayed in her sister's hand. "I found this picture of Jack and another woman from when he was in college." She says. "Her name is Jackie..."

"Aria, are you jealous because he was public with someone else and not you."

"No."

Aaliyah heard the phone ringing. "That phone won't stop ringing." She says as she stood up. "Just talk to Jack about it. Don't get jealous of an ex-girlfriend and don't do anything stupid."

Aria looked at her sister as she went to the phone. She stood up and knew who to go to and show this too. Hanna.

"Ezra, did Jack date anyone when you two were in college?"

"Yes. Jackie." He says. "They were about to be married, but Jackie ended it."

"Okay because Aria saw the pic and became jealous. I told her it was an old photo and that she should talk to Jack about it, but I know Aria. She's going to screw up big time." Aaliyah tells him. "I also think she's jealous of us and that picture because we're public and she's not."

"They chose the forbidden romance route."

"Yep." She says. "Instead of going to the festival, can we stay here since dad is having that party tomorrow and I...I just want some alone time with you without the drama that is going on with my sister."

Ezra kissed her. "Deal." He says as they cuddled upon the couch.

Aaliyah grabbed a blanket and covered them up as they looked at the tv. Ezra found a movie for them and left it on that channel as they watched. This is the life.
