We run into the palace and I see Manons grandmother marching up to me.

"Well if it isn't the Firebringer herself," she says.

"Get out of my kingdom!" I demand.

"I will when I get what I came here for," Mother Blackbeak says.

"To bad for you, she's not here," I tell her.

She rolls her eyes and her teeth sharpen and her claws come out.

"Then it looks like I'll be here for longer than I thought," she tells me.

"You won't be alive long enough to see her," I say.

"We'll see about that," Mother Blackbeak says.

I pounce on her and we fight and fight.

She gets me pinned down.

"Who would have thought that it'd be easy to bring you down?" She asks me; tauntingly.

"It's not!" I growl.

Just then she digs her claws into the side of my neck, right over Rowan's new claiming marks.

I scream out.

The pain start becoming unbearable until the pressure finally releases. I let out a breath.

I look and see Manon wrestling her grandmother.

I also notice Chaol and Dorian fighting Crochans.

I put my fingers up to my neck and feel warm blood running down the side of my neck.

I look at Rowan and he looks at me and nods; knowing exactly what I'm about to do.

He gets Chaol, Dorian, Lorcan, Elide, Gaveriel, and Fenrys out.

I look at Manon and she gets pushed away by her grandmother. She looks at me and nods as she runs out of the palace.

All the Crochans look confused but then they turn to me.

I grab hold on all of my power and unleash it on Mother Blackbeak and the Crochans that are in the palace.

Last thing I hear is screaming before I blackout.

A few hours later
When I wake up I realize that I am in my bed. My head starts pounding and I start to get dizzy.

"Aelin can you hear me?" Someone asks from beside me.

I turn my head and see Rowan.

"What happened?" I ask; groggily.

"You had a burn out," my mate tells me.

Then the events come back to me.

"Are they gone?" I ask; cringing at how weak I sound.

"Yes they're gone," Rowan tells me.

I sigh in relief.

"Aedion is contacting Lysandra to let her know that it's safe," he tells me.

I nod.

"I'm so tired," I say.

Rowan chuckles.

"Get some rest, Fireheart," he says.

"Stay with me?" I ask.

He nods and lays down beside me.

I curl into him as sleep takes me.
