gojo had eventually left your place because you were really tired and wanted some shut eye after everything that went down that day. you never knew you were given a day off to rest but you went to work anyway because you had nothing better to do at home. at least being at work would keep you entertained.
you entered the office with a black hoodie and jeans with your messy hair. not many people were there when you came inside so you sat down on a couch and scrolled through your phone, answering emails and replying to messages from celebrities who were contacting you. it was a bore. most of them boasted about their wealth and success but it never really struck your interest.
your casual phone business was cut short when you heard megumi coming out of his dorm and passed by the office to go to the lounge to get breakfast. you got up to go with him because you had forgotten to eat breakfast.
"mornin', kid." you nodded. he nodded back and you two walked with a comfortable silence. once you got to the lounge, you began making coffee for you and megumi. he sat down and scrolled on his phone. you added creamer and sugar to both and gave it a mix before placing one in front of megumi and you sat in front of him.
"how've you been doing?" he asked you casually while sipping his coffee. you shrugged, "i've been good... kind of." megumi raised his brow in a questioning manner. "sukuna's vessel, itadori yuji." he nodded in understanding as he took another sip. you looked down and stared into your reflection in the coffee. the only good thing that's happened since you came back was... gojo.
you smirked at the thought and megumi saw that, "what are you smirking about?" you raised your head slowly to look at him with an amused expression. "you want to know, megumi?" he hesitated a few times before actually nodding his head. your smirk grew larger but you stopped to think about the relationship which you had recently established with gojo. whether you wanted to publicize it just yet. of course, you never imagined anything would happen between the two of you. you would rather consult a few people, including gojo, about how to handle the publication of said relationship before doing anything stupid.
"i got a contract with dolce & gabana in new york, these people can't give me a break." you covered up the soon-to-be mistake pretty good and megumi didn't notice anything and gave you a genuine smile as you took the first sip of your coffee. you got up with your mug and said a quick goodbye to megumi and walked towards the dorms.
i have to talk to maki about this.
you slowed your pace as you reached the door to her dorm and gave it a soft knock. "maki, are you awake?" you heard a soft hum, an enthusiastic one. she was awake. you opened the door and saw her scrolling on her phone while in bed. you sat yourself beside her feet and she closed her phone.
you let out a soft sigh, hoping that the stress of everything would leave with it. but it never left. "everything ok?" maki asked as she fixed her position on the bed, now sitting with her legs crossed.
"maki... remember what i said the other day to you?" a small smirk pulled against maki's lips. "you're finally gonna tell me about that, huh?" she eagerly leaned forward, keeping her ears open for the words that about to spew from your mouth. "i'm in some sort of relationship with gojo." maki fell out of the bed and got up in a quick motion. she's now standing in front of you. "excuse me, what?!" you let out a small laugh, "you're the first person i'm consulting about this, i don't really know if i want to label it as a romantic bond where he's mine and i'm his-" the thought of those words made a tinge of pink to appear across your cheeks. maki started laughing and gave you a hug. you thought it was weird that she hugged you but you hugged her back and appreciated the affirmation.
"so you're basically saying you guys are dating?" maki teased. the blush on your face grew brighter and maki laughed harder. "never in my 17 years of life did i think i would see you this flustered." you scoffed and softly punched her arm, "tch, as if." maki fell on the bed and let out a sigh. "congratulations." you looked at her with an appreciative smile.
"i should probably find him, i need to have a serious talk with him." maki nodded and got up with you. she pulled you into one last hug before you left her dorm.
you barely took a few steps when you bumped into something hard. you looked up to see a familiar head of white hair with a smirk on his face. "i thought you'd be here." you stepped back but were abruptly stopped midway because gojo wrapped his arm around your waist and brought it close to his. "you good? you seem disturbed." you got out of his grip and caught his hand. you lead him to your office and closed the door behind you.
"the question i asked you last night, i'm going to ask it again. what are we, gojo?" gojo tapped his foot on the ground. "isn't that... obvious?" your expression dropped. "no, it's not." gojo's expression was the one that dropped this time. "i literally called you my girlfriend yesterday." your eyes widened in shock. he did call you his girlfriend.
i thought he was joking though... he wasn't?
"oh..." the only word you could muster to say. gojo began to laugh while you tried to put two and two together. you had the confirmation you needed but not the confidence to speak about the relationship out loud, let alone announce it to others.
"do your parents know?" you asked gojo tentatively. "not yet, but my mom had always known that i had a crush on you. i made it pretty obvious." gojo laughed at himself. that's when it hit you...
my parents... how will i tell them?
you didn't expect them to be upset but you knew that they would be critical that you're dating someone way out of your league. they would try to change everything you did just so that you would be "compatible" for him. you knew that your parents would have something to say regarding your comparison to gojo. and now that you're dating him, it's going to get even more intense.
"what's on your mind, n/n?" gojo sat himself next to you and put his arm around your shoulder. you explained what would happen if you had to tell your parents about your relationship with gojo. he tightened his grip on your shoulder in a comforting way. "what if i were the one to tell them? i'll explain how i always wanted to be with you. technically because it was the truth..." you laughed at the last comment and hugged gojo. his warmth reminded you about how you no longer had to keep everything to yourself, you had someone to talk to. someone who cared about you and your opinions.
"oh, perfect opportunity today, by the way." gojo mumbled into your hair. "what do you mean?" you asked, confusion taking over once again. "my parents invited me over for dinner, we can tell them today if you're okay with it." he smiled as he tucked a few short strands of loose hair behind your ear and pecked a kiss on your forehead. "that would be wonderful." you replied with a soft smile. "great, i'll just let them know someone is coming with me. i'm sure they'll be shocked to know it's you." he laughed as he got up and walked towards the door. he turned one last time before opening it.
"i'll see you in a bit then, make sure you rest up until then."
"yeah..."
