you got out of the car and walked behind gojo. you let go of his hand because it would be weird for his parents to see you two like that off the bat. and that gojo holding your hand stirred up a bundle of nerves throughout your entire body, making you shudder. gojo stood in front of the door in silence for a moment before turning to you and his hand touched yours. it stayed there, reassuring you. he stared at you for a moment before opening his mouth, "last chance to back out, take it or leave it." his gaze searched your face to read any sort of emotion, feelings. you punched his arm softly and left your arm there, "i'm doing this." gojo wrapped his arms around you and your heart fluttered. your mind unable to comprehend the action. he pulled himself away and fixed your hair. putting some strands in front of your face and some behind. curling some strands over with his finger and fluffing up another. you let him do it because the way he touched you made you feel like were a treasure to be put on display. his touch so gentle, like you were fragile glass. but he knew better. he knew your capabilities, your strength. he just wanted you to feel like you meant something to him, because you did. you meant everything to him from the very beginning. he loved your eyes, your lips, your rare smiles, your voice, your lashes, your nose, your expressions, your ferociousness, your rebelliousness, everything about you just appealed him. and he wanted you to know that, he wanted you to know exactly how he feels.

he turned back to the door, your mind still a mess of emotions but none made it to your face. you just stood behind him and clutched your bag to calm yourself down. you didn't know why you were nervous. you still couldn't believe you were in a relationship in the first place. let alone announcing it to gojo's parents. you hadn't met them since you cut off contact with your parents. you had nothing against them. but your parents and gojo's parents were best friends and you knew if you ever visited his parents, your parents would always be nearby. that's when a thought crossed your mind at that moment,

are they here right now?

you looked back to where the car was and your heart dropped. their care was there... your father's car was in the driveway too. but before you could say anything, gojo already rang the bell. "satoru." gojo's body tensed by your tone. "yes m'lady?" he turned slowly to see your pale face. "are you ok?" he turned his whole body to face you again. "my parents are here." he faced probably went paler than yours. he didn't think he was ready to tell your parents either. "do you think we should tell them another t-?" your sentence was cut off by the door opening. "toruuuu! i'm so glad you made it." your mom's voice sounded happy, it only ever did when talking to satoru and your blood began to boil. she hugged him tightly and went from side to side while patting his back. when she let go of him, still holding his arms. she looked behind him. she saw you. a cold glaze wiped over her eyes as her expression dropped. "y/n, what brings you here?" bile crept up your throat by the instant change of her tone. you couldn't help but feel betrayed. your own mother, favoring another child over her own? you knew it wasn't satoru's fault but you couldn't help but feel such anger towards him too.

before you lost your temper and did something you would probably regret. you ran. away from the house. you didn't know where you were going, but all you knew is that you wanted to be far from there. from your parents. you heard gojo calling behind you but your thoughts overwhelmed your mind as you just ran and ran. you even thought about using your curse to make you run faster. a tear began rolling down your face and you dared to look back. no one was there, you didn't care. you knew gojo was going to be held back by your mother, she was fairly strong. you knew that considering her punishments. you shook your head at the thought of your childhood and your legs pushed harder against the road. you tears turned into streams and you wanted to scream. but your voice was stuck in your throat as you ran and ran. you never lost your composure as easily as you did at that moment.

your house came into view and you you took the keys out of your bag. your shaky hands couldn't get the key into the hole. when you finally did. you grabbed your car keys and ran to your car with tears still streaming down your face. you slammed the door shut behind you. you placed your head on the steering wheel and began to sob. your screams came out. you let it all out. it helped you calm down. you felt ok enough to drive and you hit the brakes. you drove to the place that you used to go to as a teenager whenever you needed to relax, lose your mind. it was a cliff that gave you a whole view of the city lights. you sat at the edge of the cliff and let your legs sway with the cold wind. it sent a shiver down your spine as goosebumps pimpled your skin. you just sat in silence while the tears fell off your face and onto the grass you sat on.

your own mother, treating you like that. what a beautiful family you had. your head was empty. you couldn't think of anything to do except stare at the city lights. they reminded you of the firefly scene in the princess and the frog movie. you loved disney movies as a child. you still remember every one you watched because you  constantly rewatched them on repeat. the memories of watching disney movies made you smile through the tears. the memory of the happy parts of your childhood are the ones you cherished. you wish you could've been a child for a little while longer. you just wish you had appreciation, love from the people who were supposed to give it to you since the day you were born. but ever since you could remember, it was always gojo. always him, never you. your fingers gripped the grass with intense anger. you tore almost every shard you held in your hand. the clouds finally moved out of the way and you got a sight of the full moon. it was beautiful. you just stared at it while getting up to get back inside the car since you legs were freezing.

your steps were short and slow. your body was tired. you were tired. you just wanted to sleep after how much you cried. your throat hurt by how much you screamed.
