i was immediately rushed to shoko to check for any damages she might be able to repair. but i refused for her to do anything. i wanted to do it on my own. so i just sat in the infirmary. shoko, gojo and the kids were there, watching me.
i sat on the steel slab she usually did her autopsies on. my head was lowered below my shoulders. i took deep breaths as i slowly healed everything. i looked up as i got a hang of it. i specifically stared at yuji. he stared back. he looked confused, i was aloof.
"you're not the only one." i said. everyone in the room looked confused. "you're not the only one with strong physical abilities. you're not special." i spat. i coughed out more blood. great. kugisaki was on her phone. megumi was with gojo. i looked at gojo, i was still upset at him. and probably even more upset at him for that stunt he pulled earlier with the forehead kiss. dating him was one thing. publicly displaying his affection was another thing. i didn't like it. even if nobody could see it, somebody could've. he seemed to notice i was upset.
i had an even and calm hum of cursed energy that i was using to heal my cuts. it was slow, but as i got the hang of it. i would improve. i was doing a pretty good job until we heard a loud scream. i didn't physically jerk but my heart stopped for a moment. throwing my whole balance off.
the scream was from kugisaki. megumi hit the top of her head. she screamed after seeing something on her phone. she turned the screen to yuji and megumi and they both looked at me, then at gojo. they looked shocked, maybe even upset. i looked at shoko and gojo, confused.
that's when the silence was broken. "YOU TWO ARE DATING?!" kugisaki screamed. my eyes widened, gojo's face flushed. shoko looked amused. that's when inumaki and panda ran in as well. maki was right behind them, she looked amused as well. inumaki was holding a phone and waving it in the air. "is it true?!" panda exclaimed.
i rolled my eyes. "i cannot do this today." i got on my feet and left the room. i could hear shoko laughing as all the kids all began to question gojo.
i made my way to the office and i ran into yaga sensei. i greeted him with a nod and walked away. i was stopped by a question. "are you dating him?" he asked with hesitation. he might've thought it was a rumor and was asking for confirmation. i nodded, then made my way to the office. i grabbed my keys and drove back home.
i tried to sort my thoughts out. everybody knows. it's probably all over the news. i heard my phone exploding with notifications and i knew exactly what it was about. i checked some of the messages from my friends i made while working as a model. some were asking if it were true, some warning me about gojo and the most annoying ones were the wishes i was receiving for finally stepping into the dating game after a few long years. i scoffed and put my phone away.
