"Tearing at the seams, I wish I could escape. I don't wanna fake it, Wish I could erase it. Make your heart believe"
"May I ask where you're off to, sire?"
"London." Morpheus grimly replied
"Did you not just spend the last 100 years there?" Lucienne asks only for Atlas to send her a look, while Morpheus glared. The three were back at the docks, getting ready to depart through the ocean of dreams.
"Sorry. Why London?"
"Apparently the sand was sold there." Atlas stated
"And when I have it back, I will seek out my helm. In Hell." Morpheus says
"Oh, dear. Then will you grant me one favor before you go? Take a raven with you." Atlas goes to agree but stops when she sees Morpheus.
"No more ravens." He states
"If not for you, then for me. A raven can go back and forth between realms. Keep me informed-- " Lucienne says
"I do not need a minder. I am Dream of The Endless." Morpheus snaps and Atlas rolls her eyes.
"Yes, and Dream of The Endless always has a raven." Atlas says in Lucienne's defense. She knew her friend was just worried for her master.
"Jessamy was the last. If this Constantine is anything like her ancestor, she will serve me well enough. She is only human." Morpheus spoke as he made the water rise, to reveal steps that would lead to London.
He held his palm out to Atlas who placed her hand in it, sending Lucienne one last smile before they began walking down.
"As was Roderick Burgess, what could possibly go wrong?" Lucienne questioned sarcastically
Outside the Dreaming Gates...
Thunder rumbling was heard in the distance as Lucienne walked over to Corinthian who was busy being assembled back into place.
"Oh, good. You've returned. And just in time too. The king and queen will be pleased." Lucienne spoke
"Where is Dream? And good old Queenie?"
"There away. Again. For the moment." Lucienne said bitterly
"He's out there looking for his tools, isn't he?" Corinthian spoke with a knowing grin as he stood up.
"He will be coming back." Lucienne reassured.
"Well, then, I'd better get a move on."
"Where are you going?" She asked
"Back to the waking world. To freedom. You should try it sometime." Corinthian said
"Dreams and Nightmares do not belong in the waking world."
"Oh, turns out I fit right in." He said matter of factly.
"Have you no loyalty to your creator?" Lucienne asked, baffled.
"Why should I? He has no loyalty to us." Corinthian spat
"You misunderstand him, Corinthian." Lucienne explained but the nightmare was having none of it.
"Oh, no, I see him for what he is. He doesn't give a fսck about you or me. He only cares about himself. His kingdom. Well, he can have it. 'Cause I am leaving and I am never coming back." He spoke
"He will come after you." Lucienne said, but slowly Corinthian walked over to her and spoke.
"Well, then, if he does, he won't be coming back either. You can't change, you can't save him either." he warned before walking away and travelling to the waking
