Adeline's POV:
"Oh, wait!" I came to a halt and jogged down the hallway out of it making a semi-circle right into the kitchen. I spotted the thermos that I'd almost forgotten. Definitely couldn't leave without that. I picked it up and followed my initial steps back down into the hall but at a fast walk. I held up the thermos. "I almost forgot this." I smiled as I lowered my arm coming to a stop in front of Joon. "Here." I handed over the thermos to him and sat down in the little cubby with a bench that was built into the wall and slipped my hiking boots on.
I was so excited even though there was a good chance that we were going to freeze to death but still, I was excited. I finished tying my laces and stood up. I readjusted my jacket over my sweatshirt which was over a long-sleeved shirt before I picked up my wool scarf and started to wrap it around my neck. While doing so, Joon pulled my hair out from underneath it. I smiled up at him. After my scarf was fixed in place Joon grabbed my ski cap and pulled it down onto my head low so that it covered my ears.
"You look so adorable." He grinned as he gave the fluffy ball attached to the end of it a pat.
"Says the man with the dimples." I grinned back.
He smiled larger making his dimples more pronounced as he held his gloved hand up for me to take.
"Come on."
I placed my own gloved hand in his held up one feeling him close his fingers around my own before he turned to the door and pulled it open pulling me through it before closing it shut. As soon as we left the foyer to descend the stairs, we were hit with the chilly air along with a sprinkling of rain.
"Burr!" I let out feigning a shiver.
"It's not that bad." Joon chuckled.
I didn't respond except with my own chuckle as we reached the bottom of the stairs being careful as we did due to the on and off rain that day. Instead of walking straight we turned into the parking garage located underneath our building. We didn't walk far into it before we stopped at my car a white 2018 Hyundai Sonata. I bought it last month when we got back from New York after I got my International Driver's License. It was just becoming too much with how much I was spending on taxis to get where I wanted to go. When I surprised Joon with it he was a little upset that I didn't tell him I was going to buy one. I knew it was only because he wanted to be the one to buy it which I didn't want him to do. It was still something, the only thing, we tended to disagree on, money. I knew he wanted to provide everything I needed and could want, but I also wanted to provide things for myself as well especially since I was capable of doing so. It was something we continuously and would likely continue to agree to disagree on. Plus, it was the first big purchase I had ever made. I was proud of the fact that I did it completely on my own. Granted the majority of my savings is gone but it was still worth it.
I clicked the button on the key fob to unlock it and we climbed into the car. I handed my bag off to Joon after he got situated. Immediately after getting situated myself, I inserted the key turning the ignition starting the car and switched the heat on. I let the car run for a few minutes the heater starting to kick in before I eased out of the parking spot exiting the garage in the direction of our destination. I concentrated on driving while Joon synced his phone with the car's Bluetooth music flowing through the speakers shortly after he did. I smiled listening to Joon sing along to HONNE. Since living together I've been exposed to a lot of music which resulted in me actually starting to find my own taste in music which HONNE aligned with. I giggled as he dramatically started singing the song Me & You from the passenger seat to me with flair. Our ride continued in that fashion with me joining in with some of the songs that I knew the words to as I pulled into our destination. I cut the engine off after sliding the gear into park.
