A/N: This chapter feels more like a shitpost than anything but this is how I have it written down in my notes so this is what y'all get, enjoy.

Any hope of a satisfying night's rest had become fantasy at the ripe dawn of midnight. Liberty had never had a problem with barking, especially at night. The old dog slept frequently and often slept through the night, however, tonight the Duke boys were startled awake by the dog's loud, steady howls.

The two of them scrambled out of bed, each without great success. Luke's legs got tangled in his blanket and he ended up falling onto the floor. Bo ran into something in the darkness, however, he could've sworn it wasn't there when they went to bed. All the while, Liberty was still barking.

At the same time, Luke reached up onto the nightstand and turned on the lamp; Jesse and Daisy ran into the room and flicked on the lights to see what all the noise was. Luke managed to get himself untangled and stood up, surveying the room. Liberty quieted down and resorted to emitting low growls from his place in the corner. Bo picked a blanket up off his bed and hugged it to his chest, he and the rest of the Dukes gawking at who was standing in the middle of the room.

"Oh no...." Jesse said with a sigh.

"Not again," Daisy whined.

"What the hell?" Luke exclaimed.

"Language!" Jesse snapped.

"Sorry."

Bo raised an eyebrow, looking them up and down. "Do you mind?"

Boss Hogg and Rosco exchanged nervous glances.

"Wrong window," Boss Hogg said sheepishly.

Jesse took a step forward, crossing his arms. "Y'all better have a good explanation for this."

Daisy shook her head. "I don't believe this."

"We got an explanation, just hear us out!" Boss Hogg exclaimed.

Jesse nodded and gestured out the door. "Kitchen."

The conman and the sheriff each nodded and followed out the door, Flash in Rosco's arms. Brutus lingered in the doorway, staring down Liberty, but Rosco pulled him out and shut the door behind them.

After a moment, allowing the Duke boys to grab clothes, the Dukes and their enemies were sitting at the kitchen table, just as they had all those months before. Jesse didn't waste any time after the coffee was poured.

"Alright, you're apparently here for somethin', so spill it. What's goin' on?" Jesse asked, an impatient tone lacing his voice.

"Alright, Jesse, I'll put it simple: We've run into some trouble and when I say we I mean we," Boss Hogg said, gesturing to the whole table.

The Dukes all exchanged glances, Daisy being the next to speak up.

"What d'you mean, Boss?" she asked worriedly.

"I mean they ain't just after me and Rosco, they're after you, Bo, and Luke, too!" Boss Hogg exclaimed.

"What? Who?" Luke asked in a growl of a voice.

"Everybody! There's a price on all our heads. Only problem is I have no idea who put it there and what for."

The table fell silent for a moment and Bo looked over towards Rosco. "What about you, huh? Can't you do nothin' to fix this?" he asked.

Rosco scrunched his shoulders up. "I tried, but without knowin' who did it, there ain't much I can do about it. There's a whole criminal underworld out there lookin' for us," he explained.
