Children. The thought of having children alone made Severus want to Sectumsempra himself. This was mainly because he strongly disliked the students at Hogwarts, the exception being Draco though he wasn't even one yet.

"Tomorrow, I expect a essay from each of you on my desk on the Sleeping Draught." He said to his third-year students.

They groaned in annoyance. "But Professor Snape, Ms. Malfoy never gives us any homework." A girl named Pepper Mcfann said.

He walked over to her desk and put his hands on it, leaning close to her face so she would get the message. "I'm afraid that Ms. Malfoy's laziness has nothing to do with my class. This is a school, and you are expected to do work. And if you do not, I will be more than happy to have you expelled. Do I make that clear?" He spat.

She nodded and he walked back up to the front, dismissing the class shortly afterward.

Though Severus would never admit, he did enjoy Esmé's presence, and it felt nice whenever she was around. It was like he completely forgot about Lily when he was with her. While with Lily, it almost seemed like he didn't really belong there with her and her friends. But he did with Esmé.

'You probably only feel like you belong with Esmé and her friends because of Lucius, Severus.' He thought.

Meanwhile, Esmé sat in her classroom, not bothering to look at her students' papers and instead took that time to be writing to Narcissa as they were talking about Draco, and many other things. Minerva, Albus, and Severus walked into her classroom, and she looked up. "Esmé." Albus said.

"Yes Dumbledore?"

"I've been informed by the staff that you aren't teaching your students. Is that correct? Because if that is the case, I would have to fire you unfortunately." He said.

She slowly looked over at Severus, then back to Dumbledore. "I'm afraid it's not. They just finish up their work early." She lied.

He nodded and he and Minerva swept from the room, leaving Severus and Esmé alone. "You almost lost me my job!" She hissed.

"I had to tell Dumbledore the truth. It really would be a shame if you got fired, you know. I actually enjoy you being here-" Severus blurted out before he could stop himself.

"Oh? You almost made it seem like you despised my prescience here. If that's the case then, meet me at the Three Broomsticks this Hogsmeade weekend." Esmé replied.

He didn't really know how to reply, so he nodded. "Is that like a date, Malfoy?" He asked.

Esmé had a faint smile on her lips. "Take that however you want, Severus."

The weekend arrived and Severus did not know what to wear, so he just wore a coat over his robes considering it would be cold due to the snow. He walked to the courtyard and waited for Esmé. She showed up a bit later and Severus wanted to ask if she was seriously going to wear what she did.

She had on one of her many fur coats, though this one dragged behind her. Heels. And a black, pinstriped, dress. "You look nice. But you can't wear high heels in the snow." He said.

"Yes, I can. Now let's go before some of these brats follow us."

They walked down to the Three Broomsticks, not without difficulty because of Esmé's heels, and Severus had to fight the urge to say 'I told you so'.

The two got a table and sat down, waiting for a waitress to ask them what they wanted.

After waiting for a while, they were about to leave when a waitress finally came over there. "Sorry about the wait. Now what would you two like?" She asked.

"Firewhiskey please." Severus said.

She nodded and turned to Esmé. "I'll take the same thing, just in a martini glass."

She came back with their drinks shortly afterward and they nursed on the Firewhiskey slowly, talking every now and then in between drinks. "Er- Esmé, if you don't mind me asking, why do you dislike Lucius so much?" He asked.

Esmé took a sip of her drink then looked at him. "'Why?', you ask. The answer is simple. It was always about him to our parents. He was a prefect, had high marks, was head boy, and more. Though when I did those things, nobody was proud of me because Lucius had already done it. He never did like me much anyways and saw me as something to stop him from being successful at the Ministry. I personally think I proved him wrong though. I am London's third most important financial advisor, I own a penthouse with seventy-seven plus rooms, and not to mention, I'm wealthy and beautiful!" She spat out, half-angrily too.

He was waiting for her to continue, but she didn't. And after calming down a bit, they finished their drinks and left, walking along the snowy sidewalks. They stopped at the entrance to her chambers. "I actually had a nice time with you today, believe it or not." Severus said.

She smiled. "I'm glad, because I enjoyed myself as well."

"Goodnight." He said.

"Goodnight Severus." She replied, giving him a faint kiss on the lips before entering her chambers, and going to bed soon afterward.
