Changbin was curious as to why his boyfriend was acting so strange lately, he had decided he was going to pay him a visit as ask him about it.

"Baby, are you ok?" He asked looking at the other with concern in his voice

"I'm sorry" his boyfriend quietly responded 

"For what?"

"I....I'm not in love with you anymore, I don't feel the same as I used to, the butterflies in my stomach every time you would call me pretty, how shy I would get when you looked at me with so much love. I am sorry but.....I don't think this will work out for us" 

Changbin's heart sank. This had to be a joke, right?

"Are you sure about this? Do you just need some time for yourself? I can give you space if that's what you wan-"

"I said what I said, I'm sorry for not being the one for you. I hope you have a happy life, Changbin" he said looking at Changbin with tears threatening to fall

"It's alright, I get it. I can't force you to love me, and... I hope you find yourself a great man who will love you unconditionally. More than I ever could"

"Thank you" he thought for a moment "Can we still be friends?"

Changbin gave him a warm smile "Of course, bud"

"Thank you for loving and taking care of me" he reached over to hug Changbin one last time

Changbin had tears in his eyes but didn't dare to cry in front of the younger one. Who was going to console him if he did? Definitely not his ex

"It's okay if you don't want to let it out right now" his ex reassured, rubbing circles on the fragile man's back

Changbin hugged the younger tighter for a second before letting him go

The silence made its way as they stared at one another, trying to make the best of the current situation 

Changbin's now ex sighed and smiled

"I love you, bro. Promise me you will find someone better than me, someone who truly loves you, Changbin"

Changbin chuckled bittersweetly

"I love you, too, bud. I'll see you around"

Changbin then left the younger's apartment and headed back home

He wiped his tears away as he walked
