Chapter 11

Hi everyone! Here is the last chapter of this fanfic, chapter 11! Enjoy!

Marinette couldn't even object to the decision as she was suddenly surrounded by all of her friends. As if they had been present this whole time, they took the dress and Marinette away. The latter looked back only to see Adrien winking at her. The overexcited girls glided her away and Marinette had no idea how time passed so quickly. One minute ago she was told that she had won and the next, she was in the splendid dress she had designed. Everything was going on so fast that it was hard to keep up. However, all her worries vanished when she saw Adrien waiting for her in front of the tent. He was so handsome that she was having a tough time trying to prevent her mouth from hanging open. She tried to walk in those extremely high heels Alya had managed to get her in. As predicted, Marinette tripped but nearly escaped death when Adrien swiftly caught her.

-Thanks. she said under a breath.

-You look wonderful by the way. he said as he walked her out.

He didn't pay attention to Alya's phone as she took pictures. He would ask for them later. Right now, all that mattered was the beautiful girl he had at his arm. Her hair was down...just like he loved them. Her ocean blue eyes shining, two soft pink blushes on her cheeks.

-Kagami would have been much better at this. Replied Marinette looking down at her feet.

-I broke up with her. Announced Adrien.

-Oh? It sounded more like a question. They were just below, in the middle, of the Eiffel Tower when Adrien stopped walking and placed his hands around Marinette's waist to drag her closer to him.

-Adrien! She gasped puzzled as she felt blood creeping up her cheeks.

-Sorry...I just...he sighed and closed his eyes. He opened them only when he felt Marinette's hand caress his cheek with a thumb.

-You remember...she said so low that she wondered whether Adrien had heard her.

-Yes. He replied smiling but it still didn't reach his eyes.

-Oh Cat! She exclaimed as she buried her head in her chest, hugging him tightly. Her heart was beating so loud that she could hear it in her ears. Rapid tears were falling down her cheeks. She couldn't believe it!

-Don't cry now...you'll ruined your make-up. He joked as he reluctantly got away from her to wipe her tears with a finger.

Marinette looked at him drowning in his emerald eyes, finally she asked what she had been longing to for days.

-Tell me what's wrong.

-Nothing. Don't worry about it.

-You and me against the world, right? She said quoting him.

-It's so stupid. He quoted her back.

-Adrien...

-It's nothing really...

-Kitty...she pleaded as she cupped his cheek.

As if her touch was a magical charm, Adrien started talking.

-I can't bear it anymore. Living with my father and knowing that he is Shadowmoth, knowing that my mother is just below his office. I have to pretend to be oblivious all the time. It's so hard not to go beat him, yell at him...demand explanations that I'm not even willing to hear...I can't even...

His voice broke, he couldn't speak any longer. Words were lost in the void and Marinette whispered,

-I'm so sorry love...finding out a second time must have-

-I never forgot. He interrupted her. I remembered everything when I jumped out.

-But...why...how...I-

-What is seen cannot be unseen. Did you forget that rule m'lady?

-No. You just seemed so happy that I thought that maybe it didn't apply this time...Nevertheless, why didn't you-

-To protect you. He said simply.

Marinette laughed sarcastically just like he did when Plagg told him the same thing.

-I'm so sorry Bug. I-

She placed her finger on his lips and murmured,

-Doesn't matter. We are together now, that's all that counts. Are you alright?

-Yes. He smiled widely. I have you m'lady. He rested his forehead on hers, holding her even tighter, her face inches from his.

-Are you sure that-?

Adrien interrupted her with a kiss. The moment her lips ghosted his, he had already taken hold of them. His lips shaping hers as he felt that welcoming warmth and current flowing through him. One thing for sure, he was never going to get tired of kissing her like that. Her hands in his hair, pulling him even closer to her, deepening the kiss. It quickly turned from soft and gentle to hard and denser. They parted for air and said in unison,

-I missed you.

Marinette's hand around his neck, Adrien kissed her just below her jaw, his nose tickling her cheek. He kissed her on a soft spot on her neck, sending a shiver down her spine as she gasped. His lips carried themselves up as he traced her jawline with kisses.

-Sh-Shall w-we go? She stammered.

She suddenly felt weak on her knees and the colour of her cheeks was beyond any red it ever took. Adrien chuckled, he was glad to still have this effect on his lady.

-Just one second. He whispered to her ear before claiming her lips again. Slowly and gently, just like when they kissed in the underground tunnel, savouring every moment.

-Let's go. Smirked Adrien when he saw Marinette's two matching blushes, blinking her eyes just to make sure that she wasn't dreaming.

-I love you. They both said again.

-I love you more bugaboo.

-You can still bet on that kitty cat. She winked as she held his hand.

They headed to the gala. Shadowmoth could wait, they would defeat him when the time comes. They had a new ally now...Felix. As hard as it might be to believe, he could be trusted. For now, the only thing that mattered was them. Just this one night, their hands clutched together as they walked away.

-Bug, do you know what's the difference between a cat and a dog?

-What? Asked Marinette, feeling a joke coming.

-Puns. Nothing can come out of dogs...all they do is wag their tails and bark! No good puns can be made.

-What tells you that?

-Well cat puns are purr-fection. Don't you think?

The rest could definitely wait. Better enjoy that chapter of their life, right?
