Three things cannot long be hidden

Three things cannot long be hidden. The sun, the moon and the truth. I repeat the 'teen wolf' phrase over and over in my head as I walk to the coffee shop where I'm supposed to meet Allison. After Alexander informed me that there was nothing going on between them, I decided to meet up with Allison, to see how far she's willing to stretch the facade. I know we haven't always been close, but I'm hurt that she felt she had the right to lie to me about something so important. I'll admit that I know she probably wasn't aware of how her lie had affected me, nonetheless, a lie is still a lie.

Three things cannot long be hidden. The sun, the moon and the truth. The phrase repeats again. Whatever happens today, I'm sure the truth will be found out. Part of me is dreading the entire meet-up even though Allison isn't aware that my sporadic need to "hang out" with her alone has to do with her lying to me. I don't think we've spent over a day together without someone else tagging along since we finished school.

Is it strange that we're supposed to be friends and yet I get the feeling like she's been unable to tolerate my existence the past month? Have I done something that might have offended her or put her off somehow? Shrugging the thoughts away, I focus on what I'm going to say instead. When I reach the coffee shop, my hands are trembling slightly, indicating that I'm more nervous than I originally thought. My phone vibrates in my pocket, alerting me of a new message. I pull my phone out quickly, half hoping that it is Alexander texting me. Instead, I see Jasper's name on my screen.

I read the text quickly as I enter into the shop, smiling to myself. It may not seem like much, but I know, if he's taken the opportunity to text me, then we're on our way to being reconciled again. I'll have my best friend back soon and then maybe, just maybe, he can help me sort out the Alexander predicament that I'm finding myself in. He will be able to help me sort through this jumble of emotions that I'm feeling for Alexander. He's always been able to help me when I needed advice.

"Ally, Hey." I greet kindly as I walk up to her table. She's typing away furiously on her phone, not sparing me a glance as she mutters a "hello". As I take a seat in the booth, I take a moment to look at her. Her eyes are furrowed together in anger and she's biting down on her lip, almost like she's attempting to control an outburst waiting to happen.
