Chapter 16

Zane wakes up when he feels Wyatt turning over. "You okay," he asks him sleepily. Wyatt nods and curls into the curve of Zane's body. Zane closes his eyes and he holds Wyatt close, not wanting to let go of him. Soon, both are asleep.
A couple of hours later
Zane jerks awake when he feels his mother shaking his shoulder. "Wha-" he starts, but yawns halfway through the word, "-s up?" April holds up the CVS bag and waits for Zane to realize what it is. He nods and gently shakes Wyatt's shoulder. " Hey sleepy head, we got you some meds." Wyatt nods and Zane lets him sit up. "C'mon, I'll getcha some water." Wyatt nods and they get off the bed. Zane hugs his mother and she smiles.
Wyatt sees Zane coming into the kitchen and he walks over to him and hugs him. April comes in and sees Wyatt, only in his boxers and she clears her throat. Zane blushes and April smiles, amused at how red Zane's face got. Wyatt breaks away and Zane gets him a glass. He fills it up and hands it to Wyatt, along with the Tamiflu. Wyatt takes it and he shuffles back to Zane's room.
Two Weeks Later
As Wyatt gets ready, he looks into the mirror. He sighs. "Wyatt, you sure your okay?" He looks in the mirror and sees his boyfriend looking at him in concern. He smiles and nods. Soon, they're both in April's car to pick up Wyatt's grandfather's ashes.
When they get to the funeral home, Wyatt sees the director. "I'm here to pick up the ashes of Zachary James-Lee Chandler." The director nods and hands him a piece of paper to sign to pick up his grandfather's ahses and belongings that were on him at the time of his death. Wyatt picks up the bag and the box and he goes back out. He gets into the car and they go up to the mountains.
When they get there, Wyatt gets out. Zane follows him and April follows. Wyatt clears his throat and he opens the box, opens the bag that was in it and he grasps it firmly. He throws his arms out and up, scattering his grandfather's ashes. "You'll always be my grandpappy. I'm......I'm goin to miss you. I'll remember you as you were in life, a carefree, onery old man. I love you," he whispers hoarsely. Zane wraps his arms around Wyatt and lets him cry into his shoulder.
