Wyatt

Wyatt watches as Zane's mom, April, kisses Zane's forehead and he feels tears sting his eyes. He turns away, walks down the hall, and comes face to face with his reflection.

Hollowed cheeks, pale skin, hair in dissaray and an oily mess. Haunted eyes, but mostly, an emptiness that can't be filled by no one else. He sinks down on his knees and places his hands on his neck.

The tears fall, unbidden, running down his pale, hollowed cheeks. Wyatt's shoulders shake with sobs. He feels someone's hand gently tugging on his shoulder and hears a woman's voice call his name. "Wyatt...Wyatt, listen to me. Wyatt," the voice calls. He hunches down, then pulls away from the hand. He stands up and faces the lady and sees that its April. She smiles at him and says "Wyatt, Zane's awake and he wants to see you. He says that he wants to make sure your okay," he hears her say. He looks at her and she holds her arm out to escort him to Zane's room. He loops his arm through hers and they go down to Zane's room. They enter quietly and Zane opens his eyes. "Hey, there ghost," he says quietly. Wyatt smiles and quickly goes over to Zane's side. Zane sits up and holds his arms out for a hug.

Wyatt wraps his arms around Zane's waist and he presses his lips on his temple. They stay like that for a few minutes as April watches.

April

She watches as Zane and Wyatt hug and Wyatt gently kiss Zane's temple. She realizes now that her son has finally found someone that makes him feel completed. She smiles and watches as Zane releases Wyatt. She sees him blushing and hears Wyatt sigh content.

       Wyatt

He sighs and watches as Zane lays back down and fall asleep. That's when he realizes that he's exhausted. April looks at him and she says "I can take you back home. C'mon." Wyatt nods and they walk out togther. "Wait, my granndda, he's here. I wanna see him," Wyatt says. April nods and they walk to the nurse's station. "Where is Zach Chandler's room?" The nurses' eyes drop and Wyatt recognizes the look. "He's going to be released tommorrow. Right now, he's fast asleep," she says with a smile. Wyatt nods and they continue to the elevator and then, onward to the car. Wyatt gets in and instantly falls asleep, dreaming of the boy he loves and of his grandfather.
